Jaimoe Posted September 13, 2007 Report Share Posted September 13, 2007 Have no idea what adding Jones to the mix would do, but if he's even remotely like the other two guys in his abilities on stage, Jones was every bit as important to Zeppelin as the other three. He was Zeppelin's multi-instrumentalist, their underrated writer, bass innovator and band's anchor. Adding Jones makes this reunion interesting and significant. He wasn't flashy, or a big stage presence (like the other 3) but he was the glue that held almost all Zep tunes together. You see him these days and he can play with anyone ... from Gov't Mule to pickin' some bluegrass on his mando. The guy doesn't look like he aged much either (compared to Plant and Page).I kick myself for not going to see JPJ when he was around these parts years ago.
