The group plays traditional maracatu rhythms and other like rhythms, complemented with some howmgrown styles and sensibilities. Tracing their style to Recife’s Maracatu Estrela Brilhante, Toronto’s Nunca Antes is part of a global movement, creating a living tradition in rhythm, beat, movement and excitement.
