Ode to Thumbs!

Oh how I love my opposable thumbs.

I consider myself lucky to have, not just one...

but two!

It's cool all the things they can do,

like, holding a pen when I want to write,

or give a "thumbs-up" when I've had a good night.

Or when I want to rock out (with my bad self) on my guitar,

without them I wouldn't get very far,

with buttons.

They are even real good for pulling up socks..

I really do like my thumbs, and lots!

Raccoons also have opposable thumbs. But I've never seen one write poetry, so you win!

I like bacon and poetry. I appreciate my arms, not daily or anything, but occasionally the thought pops in to my mind....let's hear about bacon arms!

Ok, here goes.

Bacon Arms

If my arms were made of bacon

would they sizzle?

If my arms were made of bacon,

you could put them on sandwiches

and people would eat them.

If my arms were made of bacon

they'd be brown

and sometimes crispy

.........or floppy.

If my arms were made of bacon

boy, would I smell nice...

and people would probably always

want to hang around me

until they got sick of the smell of bacon.

If my arms were made of bacon

they'd be best friends with eggs.

If my arms were made of bacon

I'd eat em!
