Blane
United steelworkers of Montreal are playing at Sala Rossa. You into the bluegrass infused stuff? Knowing your propensity for the heavy shit you might prefer this: So Ted (from Dead Messenger) is turning 30 and we are throwing him a big old party and the best part is it's absolutely free!!featuring: Bionic http://www.myspace.com/bionic Ancestors (from Toronto) http://www.myspace.com/ancestors Dead Messenger http://www.myspace.com/deadmessenger It's all going down at the pound, 377 Richmond (one street west of Guy in between Notre Dame and William) should be a fucking blast yo and it's FREE FREE FREE! Dead Messenger are supposed to be pretty great live. Edited September 9, 2008 by Guest
Blane
Whoa, don't know how this slipped my mind yesterday:Dieu Du Ciel, Montreal's best microbrewery is having their 10th anniversary party on Saturday. They're going to have somethign like 26 beers on tap and a bunch of special events going on. If my flight to the UK on the 12th has to be rescheduled (f'n Visa!), that's where I'll be. Bidding a fond farewell to my favorite beer.
bradm
Argh. Charlie Hunter Trio is playing at Club Soda on Friday night, but I don't think I can make it. A double-header of Hunter one night, then Dieu Du Ciel the next night, would be a great weekend.Aloha,Brad
ollie
Thanks for the tips. We might hit up that brewpub on Saturday regardless of our other plans. Maybe we'll see you there Blane! We're actually in town to meet up with some friends who are attending the FMPM festival and we're just not sure if we want to drop money on the expensive day ticket for Saturday.
