You are InvitedŠ By way of celebrating the release of "The Very Best of Grateful Dead" CD (check it out!), our friends at Rhino Records have organized a special treat for Dead Heads, a one-night only showing of "The Grateful Dead Movie" on October 7th at 7:30 pm. You can find out where the theatres are, buy your tickets (discounted!), and get all the details at www.regalcm.com/index_dead.asp For those who haven't seen it, "The Grateful Dead Movie" was shot at Winterland in mid-October 1974, when the band was putting "the wall of sound" to rest. It was a heavy time - the tickets on the last night of the run were stamped "The Last One." Jerry Garcia then spent the best part of the next couple years editing a huge pile of film into a really cool movie that also includes wonderful animation by Gary Gutierrez, who later did the "Touch of Grey" video. The Regal CineMedia shows will be an excellent chance for Dead Heads to gather and party. There will be special surprises and goodies. And with this flick, you can't lose! Tickets range from $6 to $8 for advance purchases and $8.50 to $10.00 for general admission on October 7th. All tickets can be purchased at event location box offices or online at www.regalcm.com.
