Palms Posted October 21, 2003 Report Share Posted October 21, 2003 I've been enjoying listening to allthe different bands on the Bonnaroo 2003 2 CD set that is supposed to be released in Canada tomorrow. I've had an advance of the album for a few weeks now and love the wide range of music collected within it. From the sweet sounds of old faves like the Dead and the Allmans mixed with newer stuff like My Morning jacket, Polyphonic Spree and some weird left-of-centre stuff like the Sonic Youth contribution (somewhere between Sun Ra and early pink Floyd) and the Roots, it is all just more proof that Bonnaroo is indeed one of the most important music fests in the US despite only being in it's second year. I was also surprised when the Warren haynes Christmas Jam 2000 also showed up at my house. I guess Sanctuary is reissuing it in Canada for widespread distribution. Nice little collection that is too.
