I caught a bit on CBC Network this afternoon about City Sonic, which, among other things is

a series of short films about extraordinary artists shot in places where their musical lives were transformed. It's about the creative reverb that makes a music scene.

The other things are really cool, though: the movies are optimized to be viewed on a mobile phone, and you can even have it tell you about what videos are available about whatever club(s) you happen to be near. When you're at a particular featured club, there are bonus features (archival video, unreleased material, etc.) you can unlock.

Thanks for this link Brad - some of these video vignettes are really great! I think I just watched about 7 in a row. I love 'em -- capturing bits and pieces of the history of our beloved music venues of Toronto and the communities that revolve around them. Two thumbs up!
