The festival will take place in Rothbury, MI from June 30-July 3, 2011. The site hosted the Rothbury festival in 2008 and 2009. The Electric Forest festival—which will be organized by Rothbury promoters Madison House— is expected to boast a similar multi-media experience. The festivals’ full lineup will be released on February 28. String Cheese Incident also recently confirmed an appearance at Bonnaroo this June.I went to both years of Rothbury and thought it was damn-near perfect as a venue for a festival of that size. Warm during the day, nice and cool at night, with a forest and a lake smack in the middle of things. I had hoped it would go the way of Bonnaroo and branch out and prosper.
