Forgive me if some of this has already been posted; been away for 5 weeks! (Hope everyone is well). So, aside from the big party going on in KW that has been posted here a few times, just found out about two other things happening this week in Toronto:

Join The Hard Rock Cafe & Cambria as we Celebrate the 35th Anniversary of The Band's Last Waltz.

The Hard Rock Cafe is located on the exact site (formerly The Friar's Tavern)where Ronnie Hawkins and The Hawks rocked Yonge Street. One September night, Bob Dylan entered the bar, jammed with The Hawks and then brought them with him on his journey into electric Rock & Roll. It happened right here, at 279 Yonge Street. A larger-than-life display sits in our front lobby celebrating the partnerhisp between Dylan. The Band. and Ronnie Hawkins.

Our VIP ticket includes a full course Thanksgiving style dinner (The Last Walts took place on US Thanksgiving), we will then be joined by The Hawk, Ronnie Hawkins himself, for a Q&A, and commentary on the Last Waltz film.

We will then "Bring it all back home" and recreate the Friar's Tavern feel with a 60's style dance party. Ronnie will be providing our DJ with a playlist of Rock and Soul music. Go- Go- Dancers will be there!

Some proceeds from ticket and merch sales will go to World Hunger & Schizophrenia Society of Ontario.

Hey DevO - Thanks for the heads up! I was thinking that it sucked that both events were on a Thursday night, but then noticed you wrote Thurs Nov 25 for the CAL @ Massey Hall event. November 25th is actually the Friday, which is much better, although I'd prefer to go to the one with Ronnie Hawkins on the Thursday night.

Whoops - corrected. Would love to hear what the Friday night show is like! I can't make it to either one. :-/
