headygouda
I've been wondering, are the terms used for our computer hard drives "Master" and "Slave" politically correct?! How about 'Male' and 'Female' plugs?? Everybody knows a male has a thingy, and a female has a hole. I guess a kid can't learn how to connect his stereo until he learns the birds and the bees eh?!? bouche
That's a good point. I'm suprised that these technical terms aren't a target yet by certain groups. I'm sure alot of geeks learned about male and female anatomy from hooking shit up. Computer geeks first encounter: "oh. this goes in here? That's just like hooking up the diodes on my motherboard. COOL!"
bradm
According to a Slashdot story LA County has banned vendors from using the terms "Master" and "Slave". The original story is at Snopes. Aloha, Brad
