Bob Dylan Complete Lp Collection Vol. 1 (Ltd Collectors USB)

$365 is a tad steep in my opinion, regardless of extras, and considering I already own every album on most formats (vinyl/8-track/cassette/cd etc) I'll pass. Still, kinda cool collectors piece.

Yeah, it's reasonable for someone who doesn't already own every album.

I already have everything on CD, on cassette up to World Gone Wrong(1993) and vinyl up to Time Out of Mind (1997), plus 40+ bootleg recordings on vinyl, including several different versions of the recordings on vinyl that were eventually released as "the Bootleg series".

So basically, I'd be paying $365+ for some officially released previously unreleased tracks - almost all of which are already in circulation on various outtake recordings or compilations - and a little flash drive and case. So for me (as mentioned) it's a bit steep for a collectors piece that will sit on the self and probably not get used. It's still a cool set.

Not to mention a copy of Dylan, an album that has never been released on CD before ... because it is apparently the worst album of his career.

I wouldn't say it's the worst, considering it's really leftover tracks from New Morning and Self Portrait sessions. Personally, my least favourite remains Knocked Out Loaded - although it has a few tracks I quite enjoy now-a-days.

Although Bob requested it not be released on CD in North America (or UK for that matter), there was a release in Netherlands, albeit almost 30 years later. I'm also not sure if it was a legit release regardless of the Columbia/Sony markings. I however don't own a copy on disc, only vinyl (N.A and U.K) & cassette version.

how many 8-tracks do you own?!?

Only two now. Greatest Hits 1 & 2.

A quick google search pulled this up:

Bob Dylan - A Fool Such As I (1973) Format: CD

[edit to add]

I'm gonna assume now it was a legit release from sony. Although Dylan's website really doesn't make much mention (I could have missed it of course)
