Marcust99 Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 4/15/99 - CRAZY! I saw all three shows and these shows still stand up as the finest and funnest run I've seen from any band ever. A magical weekend!
Booche Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 That is awesome Marcust. I still love delving into these shows from time to time. From the opening Viola Lee Blues you knew that the Dead universe had forever changed. Kimock and Trey together was a 20 fingered beast.
Marcust99 Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 They still hold up well. It's great that the multitracks have circulated for years but I'd love to see an official release.
Hartamophone Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 These shows were just before I got into "the scene." I stumbled across the Franklin's Tower from 4/16 on a file sharing site a couple of years after the fact and knew instantly that it was something special (even though I could tell that the "Phish" label was incorrect). They remain in high rotation for me, and I can't imagine how much fun it would have been in person.
Guest Low Roller Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 Listened to 4/16 for the first time today. Pretty solid overall for sure.
