The 9th Annual Bob Marley Birthday Tribute is the longest running Bob Marley Tributes in Toronto and one of the hottest reggae concerts of the year showcasing the best of Toronto's burgeoning original reggae music scene and raising important food donations for the Parkdale Food Bank.  
 
The Parkdale Food Bank
 
The Parkdale Community Food Bank is a grass roots organization, founded by volunteers in 2007 and serves 3,000 people each month.  Located on King Street West in the heart of Parkdale, the philosophy reflects a strong commitment to a client-based model, where respect, inclusion and the dignity of their members is the first priority. The food bank uses a shopping system, as opposed to the more common hamper system to maximize selection and respect member's various dietary needs.  The Food Bank has only one employee and relies on 50 committed volunteers.With no direct funding from any level of government, The Parkdale Community Food Bank raises all of their funds independently and are depend on donations from individuals and events like the annual Bob Marley Birthday Tribute. 

 

The House of Marley
 
The House of Marley is an eco-conscious audio and headphone brand that works with Bob Marley’s family to build and create premium-quality products. The House of Marley is committed to enhancing people’s lives and the environment. A portion of all proceeds are donated to global charities and our products use recycled bottles, materials, FSC wood and other recyclable resources in order to leave the environment in a better place then we found it.

House of David Gang are Canada's Reggae Warriors, are a Toronto-based reggae collective that delivers original late 70s and early 80s style Jamaican reggae classics . Formed in Toronto over 20 years ago, the band is fronted by seasoned reggae veteran vocalist King Selah and drummer Jahlin Edwards.  Now with the release of their brand new album Reggae Warrior, a #1 selling remix and hot off 2014 cross Canada tour, the House of David Gang prepare to release a brand new single "Rock and Roll Queen" and will take their Bob Marley Tribute across Canada throughout February.

The Human Rights (formally Friendlyness and the Human Rights) have spent 6 years honing their unique style of uplifting, ultraheavy, new roots reggae music. The ten piece band has just recruited Toronto soulman Tréson and have re-united under the banner: The Human Rights. Tréson brings a whole new level and dynamic to the band. With his powerful voice, he is the perfect compliment to Friendlyness' DJ style. After two Canadian tours, CBC recording sessions, opening slots for reggae legends Gregory Isaacs, John Holt and Beres Hammond, and a feature in the new Trailer Park Boys movie, The Human Rights are gearing up to release their new single "Old School Track" and begin taking the world by storm.

The Fugitive Minds

The Fugitive Minds are a Toronto based Roots Reggae and Afrobeat band. They play original politically and spiritually charged music along with some Reggae and Afrobeat classics’.  The band has played many of Toronto’s hot spots like:  The Rivoli, The Handlebar, Mosquito and Bite, The Hotbox Cafe, Annette Studios, The Chillwomb, and The Only Cafe.
