While reading my latest issue today there was an article about Alyce Santoro who is making "'sonic fabric," which emits sound whenever rubbed with a tape head...." Apparently the fabric is made from the same material as cassette tape. The last paragraph had some interesting Phish tidbit that I had to pass along. "And, very soon, Santoro's sonic fabric will make its performance debut. Phish drummer Jon Fishman, who commissioned an African-style dress based on a sound collage of recordings from his own collection, plans to play his new dress in an upcoming concert."
