slammer Posted March 11, 2004 Report Share Posted March 11, 2004 Passenger will be performing at Wally’s in Guelph, Ontario on Thursday March 11th……10:30p start…at Johnny Fiasco’s located at 140 University Ave West in Waterloo, Ontario on Friday March 12th…10p start and at GP Grumpy’s located at the corner of Locke and King streets in Hamilton Ontario on Saturday March 13th…9:30p start… great original music…cool cover material... fun?…Wow!!...hope to see you there!!! Passenger (a brief description for the uninitiated) With Rhythm & Blues as its meat and potatoes Passenger's music is generously spiced with funk, soul, folk, reggae and jazz musics. One might say that artists like the Allman Brothers, John Scofield, the Neville Brothers, Santana, Sly and the Family Stone, Herbie Hancock, Grateful Dead, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Defunkt, Miles Davis, Bob Marley, St Germain, Stevie Wonder, Van Morrison, Bill Withers have all had an influence on this music. paisley Posted March 11, 2004 Report Share Posted March 11, 2004 GP Grumpy's Saturday huh? thats cool, stopped in there for a few pitchers after Kinnie Starr/Hunter Eves and thought thats a nice big room with pretty good acoustics for a band and wondered why no one plays there (few obnoxious drunks kickin around but been to worse(and we were sittin with Hunter Eves in her full stage attire)) good to hear someone is playin there, possibly see you Saturday Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
