Toronto's very own afro-funk ninja collective, Mr. Something Something, will be playing a few shows this coming week to promote a recently released self-titled orgy of music pressed into CD format: Sat July 17th in the nations capital at Mavericks (with special guests Manchas) 9:30pm... $7. July 22-24 in the BIG SMOKE as part of the Beaches Jazz Fest. FREE!!! July 30th in K-town at the Scherzo 10pm...cover unknown. bradm Posted July 12, 2004 Report Share Posted July 12, 2004 I'm so glad to hear the/a CD is ready, and that you're coming back to Ottawa so soon after the Rainbow gig on June 26th (the tapes of which came out really well, except for one mid-song break due to a necessary battery change ; I'll bring a copy for you to Mavericks). I'm looing forward to the Mavericks gig on the 17th, and encourage all Ottawa folk who can make to show up: if you like funky grooves with a great horn section, this is the band for you.
