ok.. dont have itunes at work, and the wondows media player stuff seems to all be sh!t... i need somethin to listen to here, as i need to be using the cd rom for actual data cd's for the next few hours... any recommendations on some good live streaming audio? maybe something indie-rockish, or experimental jazzy, or even jammy... i dunno, something that'll keep the rest of the employees outta the office, so they wont bug me...

VH1.com has that Jamband station (http://www.vh1.com/music/radio/stations/jambands/station.jhtml).. but I think you need the windoze media player to use it.. I could be wrong..

oh.. and the play list can get a bit repetitive

if you are into indie-rock there is the indie rock station here: www.somafm.com

and I like to check out the live shows here: www.justconcerts.ca

For a more progressive side of "adult"-rock, try http://www.mvyradio.com

On any given day, they'll play interesting tracks from Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, John Hiatt, Guster, Indigo Girls, Richard Thompson, Ani DiFranco, Bruce Cockburn, Patti Smith, Graham Parker, Phish, Lucinda Williams, Steely Dan, Elvis Costello, mostly that kind of thing but they'll also regularly play cuts from everyone from Joe Satriani to Joan Baez.

Why is it a cool radio station? Because not only did they play "Friend of The Devil" the other day, they played the Garcia/Grisman version of it! Try that on, Mighty Q!

Some of their programming may be a little "lighter" than you're looking for, but it's not "lite", if you get what I mean.
