bouche
it's getting tougher and tougher to get up to date with Windows XP. There is a key that worked for XP Pro so that you could download and install SP2.However, you're better off to get a burned copy of XP PRO with sp2.I wouldn't run XP without SP2, you're computer will likely be a target almost as soon as it gets on the internet. dieseldoug
I think you can go to microsoft
Esau
Be careful using a burned or cracked copy. Microsoft is using a validation check in Windows Genuine Advantage to determine if the copy of XP running on a PC is legitimate.I've read different & conflicting articles about this, some say its easy to by-pass others say its now been fixed so it can't be. bouche
The new WGA will stop you from receiving updates, but there is a workaround
Esau
Yep, the by-pass I spoke of. But, it doesn't always work, some folks have had serious crashs resulting in having to re-intsall their OS, in turn, losing everything on their PC to do so.I'll find the site I read it on & post a link.
