ollie
I'm always on the look out for easy bread recipes and this is the first one that looked so brain dead simple that I actually tried it. I went with the 5 ingredient option since I didn't have self-rising flour. Recipe: Ingredients3 c self-rising flour (*see note on making your own) 3 Tbsp granulated sugar 12 oz. light beer, at room temperature (opened right before using) Instructions - Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. - Line a 9"x5" loaf pan with parchment paper. Set aside. - Whisk flour (*see note for additional ingredients if making your own self-rising flour) and sugar in a large mixing bowl. - Add beer and stir with wooden spoon until all combined. Do not overmix. - Transfer the batter into prepared pan. - Bake for 43 to 45 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean. - Cool completely before slicing. Notes * To make self-rising flour for this recipe: whisk together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 3 and 3/4 teaspoons of baking powder and 3/4 teaspoon of salt. Use in place of self-rising flour. 3 Ingredient Beer Bread And here's how my bread turned out: Tastes great! Will make fantastic toast. I used a bottle of Kichesippi Blonde for the beer.
