  1. remember that one 4/20 show when Ken let us burn upstairs? how many bars are that cool?

There was only one other bar that I can think of that would let you blaze inside and that was the Comfort Zone. To bad they stopped bringing in cool shows years ago.

I am also bummed that PJC is closing even though I haven't been in a couple of years. I think New Riders was my last show there.

  2. depends how invasive the test is... you could buy a bottle of false clean urine

Keep in mind that the samples are temperature tested to insure sample integrity. In otherwords if the piss isn't warm they'll know you tried to put one over on them and they'll make you do it again.

  3. Just checked out erowid for the first time and here's something that they said:

    Cutoff and Detection Post Dose

The initial screening cutoff level is 50 ng/ml. The GC/MS cutoff level is 15 ng/ml. The elimination half-life of marijuana ranges from 14-38 hours. At the initial cutoff of 50 ng/ml, the daily user will remain positive for perhaps 7 to 30 days after cessation. At the confirmation level of 15 ng/ml, the frequent user will be positive for perhaps as long as 15 weeks. Marijuana metabolites' storage and slow release from lipid tissues is the reason for this long detection period.

So depending on the cutoff level of the drug testing you can test positive if you smoke regularly for up to 15 weeks, which backs up my earlier post.

And from the same site this answers your question about 2nd hand smoke:

    Passive Inhalation

Urine levels of 5 ng/ml have been reported from passive inhalation. One recent survey indicated that one subject in a passive inhalation experiment achieved a level of 23 ng/ml. This is unusual, but points out the usefulness of higher cutoff levels such as 50 ng/ml. The higher 50 ng/ml level eliminates the possibility of passive inhalation, is a level of very high reliability, and indicates more recent use.

So you only need to worry about 2nd hand smoke if the cutoff level of the test is 15ng/ml.

  4. If you smoke 1 joint it will stay in your system for 14 days and if you are chronic then it could stay in your system for up to 3 months.

No recommendations on how to pass. I passed by not smoking.

Here's a list of all the other drugs and how long they stick around:

    Alcohol 24 hours

    Amphetamines 2-5 days

    Barbiturates (Short-Acting) 1-5 days

Barbiturates (Long-Acting Barbital, Phenobarbital) 2-4 weeks

    Benzodiazepines 7-10 days

    Cannabinoids (THC, Marijuana) 14-90 days

    Clenbuterol 4-6 days

    Cocaine 1-4 days

    Codeine 8-10 days

    Euphoric (Mushrooms) 1-7 days

    MDMA (Ecstasy) 1-7 days

    Ketamine (Special K) 9-14 days

    LSD 1-7 days

    Methadone 8-10 days

    Nicotine (Cigarettes) 3-7 days

    Opiates 8-10 days

    Peptide hormones undetectable

    Phencyclidine (PCP) 2-4 days

    Phenobarbital 10-20 days

Propoxyphene 6 hours to 2 days

    Steroids (anabolic oral) 14-28 days

    Steroids (anabolic parenterally) 1-3 months

  5. I like the dude intervening in the 4-minute parking job. Reminds me of my charitable nature in high school... ;)

I think he just got fed up and told her to get out now. What about the one trying to fill up her car, now that was possibly the funniest of the bunch.

  6. Here's another video totally unrelated to my last post. I just think this is funny and am not trying to be sexist as there are women out there that can drive, this video just chooses to show the worst of the women drivers. Anyway enjoy!

  7. There's a new 40th anniversary release of "Lumpy Gravy/We're only in it for the Money" called simply "Lumpy Money". It's delayed but available for pre-order from zappa.com.

It's out now, all pre-orders shipped on friday. It's also a limited run but have no idea how many were made. Can't wait to here it though as Money is my favorite Zappa album.

Only thing is that it is very pricey, as in $50 USD for 3 cd's.

  8. Second, The Alpine Responsibility Code requires you to be aware of and avoid skiers/riders below you. You are not supposed to be trying to avoid people coming up behind you.

True but there are lots of people that don't know or respect the code and lots of people that simply have no idea how to ski/board. You never get hit by another from below it's always above.

  9. Dear Work,

You've lied and cheated me. Misled me from the start. You continue to take advantage of me and make me pay for your mistakes and incompetence.

Well today I laid it on the line. Spelled it out and offered you a reasonable compromise. So now it's in your hands. It's at your discretion whether you take steps to correct your past wrongs and honour our contract.

Choose well, and I will work well until I have found another position some place with heart. Choose poorly, and I will work satisfactorily until I am in a position to get the hell out to any moderately suitable situation, leaving you scrambling as you continue to leave me.

Oh, and fuck you for all this bullshit anyway. I am not sure you even deserve this opportunity to redeem yourself: I probably should have left months ago.

    Sincerely,

    snarfmaster C

Sounds like you work for Loblaws.
