  1. So Sirius isn't getting rid of the Dead channel and Jam-On?

No. At least not at the moment.

If both of those are on both - which do you recommend?

Hard to say, I've been a Sirius subscriber for the last 6 months and haven't listened to XM, at least not until wednesday.

And if you subscribe in Canada, doesn't it work when you go south?

As a truck driver that spends over half the week in the states, yes your subscription still works in the US if you're a Canadian subsciber

  2. Those extended warranties are a huge scam, I've read this many times over in other forums. If they can find a reason not to honor them they will. Good luck trying to get their head office to do something as it's the only avenue left for you, unless you want to sue the bastards.

  3. Canada Computers always has good prices.

Just don't expect them to honor any warranties. My friend had some problems with a computer they built and it took almost a year before they finally did something about it. They refused to even look at the computer to see what was wrong with it at first. That's probably why their prices are so low.

Try Sonnam which is right across the street from the Comfort Zone. They seem to have the best prices around the China town area.

  4. I've gone to Black's before and been happy. If you've got lots of pictures you might want to buy one of their pre-paid cards which will work out cheaper.

For a card with 300 pre-paid prints on it, it will cost $69.99, or a 500 print card is $115. Both of them work out to $0.23 a print

  5. I should be more clear, they have changed the ultra-lite service. They are no longer honoring there promise of 50GB of bandwidth for ultra-lite and have gone down to 2GB a month which for me I can use in 1 or 2 days.

They tried to sell me the next step up which was $35 a month for 25GB. The guy said it was great because if you went over your limit Rogers had a cap of $25 that they could charge you. Well I said to him that with my current usage that would mean I'd be paying $60 a month for internet that wasn't even super fast and I could get high speed internet from someone else with a much higher cap for $35. At that point the sales rep agreed with me and didn't try and push the matter anymore which I found very amusing as they usually pester you until you hang up on them.

BTW I've gone with Techsavvy which is $35 and 200GB a month which is more bandwidth then I could ever use.

  6. Hey All

I'm looking to switch internet companies now. I have Rogers ultra-lite speed at the moment but have just been informed by them that they are getting rid of the service and my next option up is $35 a month with only 25GB band-width.

I usually use around 40-45GB a month and don't want to pay the extra fees that I would incur for going over my monthly allowed usage.

I live in Innisfil which is just south of Barrie and hope someone has a decent solution for me. I don't need ultra-high speed internet since everyone seems to throttle P2P downloading anyway which was why I switched to ultra-lite in the first place.

    Thanks

  7. re WKRP - it's available on DVD, but without the music from the original series as they didn't want to pay for the rights.

There are also whole scenes missing as well, including my favourite scene of the whole series where Mr. Carlson walks into the DJ booth and Dr Johnny Fever is playing the Floyd song Dogs. I refuse to buy them because of their terrible butchering job they did.

  8. ticketmaster has just released sixth row floors

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't going to go because I couldn't get a decent seat but on saturday afternoon today I just scored:

section RCF, row F, seat 33

Seems like a great place to tape from even though I don't think I'll be able to raise my mic stand very high because of being so centered and up close.

  9. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/classes.htm

Shows all the different classes. It's not really clear though about lengths.

How much does the bus weigh? Because it states that a "G" will cover:

"Any car, van or small truck or combination of vehicle and towed vehicle up to 11,000 kg provided the towed vehicle is not over 4,600 kg."

I know my tractor alone weighs in at 19,000lbs and with an empty flatbed trailer behind her as well the total gross vehicle weight is roughly 30500 lbs.

  10. My vision is a school bus that functions as a camper. I just have no idea what it would take to drive something like that? The vehicle is a school bus, but it's an RV, not so much a people mover.

To drive a bus you need a "C" license, to drive a school bus full of kids you need a "B" license, if there are no kids in it then a "C" works. Not sure about what you're talking about but you might need that "C" license to drive it because of the length.

I used to stock shelves at Loblaws with the guitar player from Slik Toxic, Rob Bruce

  12. How do piss tests cause an increase in crack and meth heads? Do these drugs pass through your system quickly enough to not get picked up by piss tests?

Smoking one joint will stay in your system for 14 days unless you're a chronic then it can stay in your system for up to 3 months after quiting.

Crack/cocaine stays in your system for 1-4 days.

    Methadone 8-10 days.
