  1. I was thinking about checking it out and inviting some folks. Haven't seen Jomomma in a bit but the Diesel Dog kids never disappoint. Does anyone know who's opening for who and what the cover is?

  2. I just wanted to give a huge thanks to all the great folks who made it out to the Lanc Friday night and over to our little after party. I don't care what anyone says about our "scene" you guys are the best folks around and I don't know what I'd do without ya. The weekend is blurry at best and thank yous could take a long time, but I wanted to give a special shout out to Mary and Sloth and Paisley and Esau and everyone else who rocked out way past dawn. You guys are welcome anytime.

    Hopefully I'll see ya'll soon,

    Cary

  3. I think this show should be a blast. I can't wait to hear how they perform some of the songs from the new album...plus I think it's their last show until March so they might really let 'er rip. Plus it's my birthday weekend so it's a good chance to get silly.

  5. Yeah, sometimes vocals can throw you off from enjoying a really cool band. To an extent I feel the same way abour Rush and Widespread Panic for that reason...even though their technical merits as musicians cannot be denied, and millions just love 'em. String Cheese vocals don't bother me, however.

P.S. Tigger, I am coming around to the Panic, just based on the jams...and the vocals don't irk me so much either.

  6. I've heard of this sort of thing happening before. Dolphins are really amazing animals, and I don't think we really know their true intelligence. For some weird reason sometimes feel a bond with us and try to protect us. On a related note, one time I slipped in the shower and a group of dolphins helped me back to my feet.....and then they washed my back.

  7. Jambands.com is reporting this:

    RatDog Reschedules

Since the core members of the Dead have announced that there will not be a New Year’s Eve performance, many fans are peering into 2005. Following the cancellation of the fall RatDog tour, that band has just started to announce some of the rescheduled dates with the first up being the two nights at New York’s Beacon Theater which will take place on April 15 and 16. Meanwhile, a revamped Phil Lesh & Friends will perform three nights at the Warfield on December 16-18 with additional gigs pledged for the next year. Beyond that there are no other confirmed plans for what will represent the 40th Anniversary of the Grateful Dead.

Hopefully the Toronto show is back on.....

  8. He is amazing! I have a 2 disc acoustic collection which is stunning, and I've heard that the new album is awesome as well. I guess since he's been hanging out with Mike he's into jamming at his shows & albums instead of just all out picking.

  9. It always blows my mind how groundbreaking discoveries like this gets buried behind the "real news" like the elections and that chick on Saturday Night Live who lip-synched.

I have a feeling that they are going to discover some mind-blowing stuff on this island.

  10. I don't post here much, but the folks on here are my favorite people on earth. You all make me laugh and contribute to the betterment of our great scene.

I think that drawing is a phallus which might be considered obscene but who am I to judge art.....

  11. hey Mike, I was lucky enough to meet you and your dog a few weeks back (after diesel dog in Kitchener I rode back with you & zephyr to my place for an after party). You were both great guys, and I'm really sorry that my cat gave Zephyr such a hard time and he had to chill in the van. He was one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met, and everyone's thoughts and positive energy are with you.

    Take care buddy,

    Cary
