  1. My feelings exactly MOBE but I bit the bullet and signed up, the way I fugure it I've got just over a month to reduce the inhalants slightly ;) and do some extra running, who knows I guess you only get one chance

  2. Thing is the Jays wouldn't even have to pay him that much, he is still getting part of his Yankee salary paid by Texas, then they Yanks would be paying another significant portion so the Jays would be on the hook for even less, as much as I love V-Dub, they have to cash in on him this off-season or lose him like they did with Carlos, still don't like the idea myself, but it would solve thier short-stop prob and add another bat....

  3. Ronaldo would have wreaked havoc on the Celtic defence though and he probably would have brought Rooney into the game.

    come.on.

Crynaldo would have done a million step overs only to cross it to... nobody. Then he would have cried.

Xrist, and people call Crouchy over-rated

brutal dive for the penalty from the hairy one

Have you watched any Man United games this year? Ronaldo has been their most dangerous player in the Prem so far behind Giggsy, and speaking of Giggsy though I'd agree he went down easy, he did pull a hammy (Which I did two weeks ago, and it's pain like no other) and was taken off two minutes later...back to Ronaldo, he can frustrate me to no end at times, but the kid (barely into his 20's) has boatloads of talent and is finally startng to develop that killer final touch (be it a great cross/pass or finally starting to hit the net with shots, oh yeah he can take a mean free-kick as well)

All in all a very exciting game, though Rio's little naps almost gave me a heart-attack...

  4. We'll definitely have to work somethin out Dog, imagine how good a keeper you would have been if I was playing D in front of you ALL the time, you'd have never gotten scored on!!! and as an aside I saw the angry greek when i was out downtown in TO last winter, he is living in Whitby workin at teh restaurant...

  5. as well as Scottish Premier (ridiculous that you can't get any SPL games anymore' date=' Fox Sportsworld Canada used to show the games later the following week but they don't show anything anymore) [/quote']

Thats because nobody wants to watch that shite. I mean I get up every saturday and watch Rangers online but Im former player there and die hard blue nose. Besides Rangers and Celtic scottish football is shit. Its the same in England, if you want to watch competitive fitba watch the Scottish 1st Division or the Coca-Cola Championship. Its not all about the $$ in those leagues.

I agree but there are still a lot of 'Gers and Hoops fans on this side of the pond is all I'm sayin...

  6. I was reading an article in the Globe and Mail the other day that says that Telalatino (TLN) is looking to buy the Canadian rights to Setanta. Apparantly this year Setanta have the top Saturday game and the top Sunday game each week (hence the reason I could not watch Man U last Sunday) This will increase football viewing further as they will also be showing Dutch and German games as well as Scottish Premier (ridiculous that you can't get any SPL games anymore, Fox Sportsworld Canada used to show the games later the following week but they don't show anything anymore) The new Setanta Canada channel would be another digital channel that you would have to buy and they said it is still 3 to 4 months away if it goes through, just an FYI....

  7. 5) People Who Use the Entire Sidewalk As If They Own It.

This is one of my biggest pet peaves anywhere. I call them the diagonal walkers. When you try to pass on the right, they veer right, pass on the left, they veer left. I even try faking them out, go right then immediately go left and they still win :(

Another of mine is groups who just block stuff. I mean the people who decide they need to discuss something half way through a doorway or those that stand in front of a door/escalator/etc looking like they can't decided it they want to go through/up/down or not.

The last of mine is umbrella people. When it rains I try to keep dry and am usually pretty good at it. I'll get on the bus, though and then get soaked. People shaking their umbrella's to get them dry or holding them dripping above me. That's not entirely bad, though, since water won't melt me like a witch. It's when getting of the bus or exiting a building, people just wip up the umbrella really fast. I'd have been poked in the eye many, many times if not for constantly wearing sunglasses (and yes, after having some for a month or so I can show the little ticks where I've been hit).

    rant done

PS: noticed the comment above mine and this, though a rant, is still said with a smile.

    Hear, hear
