  1. guigsy.. you're sooo right.

i'm just sayin' that we shouldn't all feel sorry for this chick.. she did throw shit in the guys car, she did key his car..

She didn't "key" the guys car, she didn't have time to, the guy threw the coffee's and it escalated into a shoving match whereby her bike key (which is attached to her wrist at all times) scracthed the guys car, purely accidental (look at the first pic in the links, where the guys is stomping her bike and she is falling against his car) I have heard her first-hand account of the story thanks.

  2. Apparently not long after it happened, someone posted the guys phone number, address, place of work everything, it was obviously pulled pretty quickly. And I'm sure the police know who the guys is but no charges were laid, they told my friend Leah that if she charged the guy with assault, she would be charged with mischief because her bike key scratched his car (I haven't talked to her to confirm, as said in her statement in one of the links that I provided, that it was an accident). She is actually pretty freaked out by all the attention it has been getting because it has literally been everywhere on the net, that citynoise website had almost 100,000 hits in the days following. She has changed her helmet and courier bag because she is afraid that a motorist will see it's her and try something, couldn't have happened to a nicer person unfortunately.

  3. I wasn't even directing to Birdy, moreso Chameleon, and I'll admit I don't have any expertise, I just don't see anyway to justify these drugs being easier to obtain, seeing as though it falls on the rest of society to try and clean people up from the addictions that go hand in hand.

  4. how can you be talking about decriminalizing or legalizing Heroin? what possible positive purpose does the drug serve? Pot yeah, but heroin, crack, what positives can come from the decriminalization

  5. Absolutely ollie and she even admitted that, but man the stories I hear from her daily would blow your mind and no she didn't lose her job as she was just out shopping.

Before Christmas the couriers had a meeting with the local letter-carriers union to see about joining together, haven't heard anything further though

  6. and as someone who see's the city from a pedestrian perspective it amazes me how ignorant Toronto drivers are...

I'm not. Pedestrians take their lives into their own hands at almost every busy intersection. I realize you are talking about the fight in Kensington Market' date=' but that incident symbolizes Toronto and car culture. One of the worst aspects of Toronto is in its instilled and appalling car-friendly attitude. Speeders and pricks driving fancy suped-up cars like BMW's think they possess special privileges. Forget the slightly sensationalistic Toronto/gun-crimes incidents for a moment. Pedestrian car deaths happen every day in this city and no one really bats an eye other than the immediate families and/or neighbourhoods involved. [/quote']

I hear you, in a way it amazes me, but I also see it every day and have even been hit walking through intersections before, people are way too caught up in themselves in TO especially downtown. A buddy of mine had a cabbie pull out and block the intersection so he couldn't walk across, my buddy walked across the cabbie's hood of his car, he didn't like that much, they also don't like you punching in their rear quarter-panels (my experience)

  7. I don't know if anyone has read the Toronto Star this morning but the cover story is about a bike courier getting in a fight with a motorist here in Toronto, the courier is a very good friend of mine, and as someone who see's the city from a pedestrian perspective it amazes me how ignorant Toronto drivers are, here is the link to the Toronto Star story:

And here is a link to all of the photos the witness took with a little blurb from my friend Leah:

  8. Dunno about designing, but I'd definitely be interested in checking out what you have, I need a skin for my 'pod, is the design/priduction easy? ie: if someone has an idea for a skin for an iPod they have could they send you what they want and you produce it (personalized skins I gues would be what I'm asking) Either way, looks like ya got a good thing goin, good luck!!

  9. Ummmmm...is it it just me or did your friend not see the bench on the other side if the "door" that they walked through (obviously not)' date=' that would have been my first guess that it was not, in fact, a door.[/quote']

    its you....

the glass with the bench on the other side is not what he walked into..let me see how to put this..

u see the orange door ???

if you were facing the orange door...the two panels of glass with bench on the other side would be on your left....there are similar panels on your right.

the walked through the panels on your right....

    ahhhhhh....ok....the pic was slightly confusing

  10. Watching on TSN last night, I had to shake my head and actually agree with something Glenn Healy said (gawd that hurts) immediately after that goal went in off Allison, eddie got super pissed, smashed his stick etc...next time Buffalo came down the ice, Belfour punched (I think it was Pommenville) and took a penalty. There was another case not too long after where he was more busy trying to hack at people in front of the net then playing goal. He was totally frustrated and not paying attention, thus the weak goal that eventually led to him getting the hook. Interestingly enough, this is about the third time this week that agoalie "lost it" and cost their team. Sauve for Calgary skated the length of the ice to try and fight against Colorado, Giguere had 12 min in penalties in a loss to Edmonton as well. It has been said that the goalies are not happy with guys being able to crash the net unhindered and that is definitely the way to get Eddie off his game, that said, as good as tellqvist is, he is still not a full time starter in the NHL.

  11. the pilot threw me off - it was a complete rip off of the UK show. Now I actually think it is somewhat amusing.

I thought the same thing and to be honest I don't think I've even seen the first US season for that reason. The new ones are totally different and HILARIOUS!! I loved Dwight crashing his camero into the pole, getting out, puking on his back window, then jumping back in and flying off leaving his bumper behind. I find Dwight far funnier then the similar character for the UK version (can't remember his name)
