  1. I'd suggest getting yourself one or two people to Jam with, really. May sound a little typical for the board and all but I found that loose jamming within the constructs of what you already know will open doors and you can begin to explore new territiory and improvise in a sort of musical conversation with others. This may help you achieve that cerebral satifaction you're looking for. Make mistakes, stumble through the river and wipe out a few times even!

Good luck with it and have fun....it ain't all a big rock and roll show...

  2. Keep on dude! You have the support of many around you and you will never be alone...unless you wanna be ;) On average people change careers three time in life and most I know have blown through that wall many times over. Work will come and go, ebb and flow and in the wake of the flood the sun shines through!!

  3. Looks very cool and definitely personalized. I've gone with the all-in-one multi effect type stuff in the past which has invariably broken down after time which of course leaves you with no effects at all! I'm leaning towards individual boxes now and this shit has me keenly interested as well. Thanks for the inspiration Tooly and the link to BYOC Brad.

  4. I know I'm wading into deep and brackish waters here but I thought E-coli was a naturally accuring bacteria in the stomach of cattle but only becomes a problem when people eat bullshit ;)

But seriously, am I right on this? I've read that most of the contamination problems arise in the abbatoir when the gut and the meat cross connect during mishandling.

I do see the risk of creating more super resistant strains of e-coli down through generations.

  5. Every Thursday starting this week I'm propping up a microphone and vice versa, at Greenhornes in Sauble Beach. The venue is on the north side of Main Street (County road 8 from Hepworth) just past Sauble Amusements. Its about a 30 min drive from Owen Sound and a bit more from anywhere else.

If you have never been to Sauble you now have at least one good reason to explore the beach in winter!

Help spread the word to anyone you know in the area.

    thanks everybody

Fu ck movies "edited for TV"... I can't believe they still play 'em sometimes...[/quote']

The one I'm always amazed by is Boyz In The Hood. What an editing nightmare!

:D Ever see 8 Mile? The version I saw just dropped the volume, thankfully. I couldn't stand any sort of 'tonal' mask for that amount of time!

  7. I find it bizarre that this military man knew the Grateful Dead or Bob Weir by name.

I don't know... the guy lived his entire life in and around The Bay area and was an obvious free spirit, military or otherwise. Bobby had to have hit the cover a the papers once or twice in the last 40 years ;)
