  1. It is remarkably quiet in here this series, whats wrong guys?

Trust me, plenty is getting said but this place is a deadzone and it's mostly just texting now. Nonetheless, Im getting extra beer for tonight to serve as pain medication because the Pens are outclassing and outgunning the Sens. We'll always have game 3, which will be remembered as the day the Hockey Gods smote Booche on his birthday as we all got drunk as fuck.

Ron Sexsmith was over last night and gave my team a little boost!

    Never too late for ....

(still, that's pretty cool that he rolled into your place for the game)

  2. Serve the corn flakes in a hand blown glass vase. Tell the guests that they are about to go on a journey, inform them that the flakes are made from organic Seneca Arrowhead corn picked by the Hopi people, with every flake being hand glazed with a manuka honey reduction and tempered with the slightest whisp of Goan lime and baked in a solar oven. They'll love it.

I once cooked for 85 guys at a World Scout Jamboree.

For some reason I'm picturing this, with you as Ed Norton.

  3. The only collapse that I can equate that third period to was the final round of the British Open when Jean Van de Velde shot a 78 in 1999. He only needed a double bogey on 18, Triple bogey'd, went to a play off and lost to Paul Lawrie.

Funny you referenced that as Sergio Garcia channeled Van de Velde this weekend and blasted two into the drink from the tee on the 17th in the Players Championship this weekend. He was only tied for the lead but it was still awesome to watch.

Didn't see the entire Leafs collapse because I was watching the Caps fucking choke but thankfully Dinghy texted me and I caught the overtime. Ouch.

  4. It was great listening to Bob Cole choke his way through that last 10 minutes or so. He's a Habs apparently. So satisfying.

God he was brutal. I think he called Gonchar "Karlsson" all night.

Cole was hilarious. I loved every second of it.

It's a good thing Brandon Prust didn't say anything stupid during the series. Really fortunate that Josh Georges didn't shoot a puck directly at Kyle Turris' back. Very thankful that René Bourque didn't throw any elbows and that Brendan Gallagher didn't try to instigate any garbage fights. Oh wait.

Although to be honest I didn't like MacLean's Pat Quinn impersonation very much. But I'll take that type of leadership over Mr. "Our captain was crying in my arms" any day of the week.

Why do you always take the bait? I guess for the same reason Roller always takes the bait. The whole line about the Gryba hit should have given the whole troll away, for the record he thinks the Gryba hit was fine (as do I).

  5. Another Sens playoff classic!!

Bwahahahaaha, thanks for my Monday laugh, I forgot about that. Yet another Sens playoff classic!

As far as PK goes, good for him, I'm glad he finally decided to man up and show he's a big enough warrior to take on Turris because that Kyle Turris is an fucking animal. If there was ever a Senator that needed to be taken out back and shot, it's Kyle Turris. Just look at him, you can tell by his eyes that he wouldn't think twice about snapping an infant's neck.

And Prust. I can't be absolutely sure, but I'm fairly certain he was actually ready to fight Conacher. For reals. (on a side note my new nickname for Conacher is "The Neverending Story" because he can't finish)

Jokes aside, Im really not sure which way game 4 is going to go. Bloodbath or both teams trying to stay disciplined and draw the other team into the box.

Also, Michel Therrien reminds me of my French Canadian uncle who drank himself to death. RIP Roger.

  6. Shenkman huh? Never been, but I'll be there December 4th for Leon Redbone. just scored 2nd row tix.

It's a nice little arts centre that's like a fifteen minute walk from my place (even closer if you guys are hopping on the 95 and going straight there). The theatre itself is super nice, not too big, great sound but they seldom book things I'm interested in (Orleans is a fairly different demographic).

I may pick up tickets but not right now, too much money is getting spent on too many tickets right now.

Either way, we'll have you guys over or meet you at the pub we drink at beforehand. It is about 2 minutes from the centre. They do a good burger (used to be great but it's just been good the last few times).
