  2. Esau give me a fu©king break. I never know what the hell your motivations are these days? If you want to be an electrician all your life not much. If you want to be a promoter (without investing money), if you want to pursue a different line of work, if you want to join a coop, if you want a connection to someone or something you value.... The list goes on. I will not bite the bait here any more and frankly I won't give away a stitch of my intellectual property. Many of you are living in a deeply deluded state. My eyes are wide open you just don't want to see what I am seeing.

    dude stay off the acid!!!!

  3. know how mch time does it take to telll someone your not interserted?

really these companys in canada provide 10,000 of jobs for slackers from east to west. by taking 5 seconds out of your day you are providing someone with a job that pays $8-15 per hour.

I'm not a telemakers right now but it's and easy fall back for most people!

I bet there's at lest a %25-35 telemakers on this site!

  4. i would love to see jacob fred in canada. i would do everything in my power to see as many shows as possible. bring on the jagga too i say!

The JFJO might happen in ealy march, the locations will ruffly be the same as the last Slip run.

  5. Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey would be cool... but if people in Toronto aren't out in droves for The Slip and Stephen Franke (There were about 130ish people out for the Slip in Toronto), then i think i might be too hard to get an act that like Jacob, who has little or no Canadian Profile.

    just my two cents.

    Thats the biggest problem.

I'm watching JFJO Walking With Giants DVD fu©king unreal these guys are top notch.

There is a tour in the works hoppfully Hamilton to Halifax, around 8-10 dates in total! it will be a long term investment as was The Slip.

  6. holy fu©k if your into Jazz/avant-garde!!!

The Marco Benevento and Joe Russo Duo

    opener TBA

    press.duo.jpg

Three years ago, a chance meeting in New York City reunited Marco Benevento and Joe Russo and spawned the formation of a genre-busting combination henceforth known as THE DUO. Originally comprised of Hammond organ and drums, and recently adding other keyboards and electronic effects, the pair creates a sound that is undeniably original (and funky as hell). As a pair they have been the “buzz” band of the year with sold-out shows of their own, and as the backing band for such luminaries as Warren Haynes, Marc Ribot, Charlie Hunter, Mike Gordon and others. Their ropeadope debut is being recorded this august by joey waronker and will be released in early 2005.

    Dec 10th @ Pepper Jack's Hamilton

    Vorcza

People are listening. They are reacting. Strongly. Vorcza’s dynamic performances and intellectual compositions are merging musical worlds to create smart AND danceable music with roots and soul. Vorcza starts with the language and tradition of jazz as a base from which to create new music, focusing on original compositions and improvisations. Vorcza also brings a fresh interpretation to the works of visionary composers such as Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, and Sun Ra, among others. They are quickly earning recognition as one of jazz music's most exciting improvisational ensembles.

Ray Paczkowski (Hammond organ, piano, keys) is also a member of the Trey Anastasio Band and has performed on the Tonight Show and David Letterman, as well as toured extensively throughout the U.S. He has recorded with Trey Anastasio , Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), and performed with John Medeski, Marshall Allen, Lester Bowie, Cyro Baptista and Peter Apfelbaum. !

Gabe Jarrett (Drums) comes from a musical family. His father, Keith Jarrett, is a world renowned musician and composer, and his younger brother is a jazz bassist. Gabe hasperformed as a member of the Jazz Mandolin Project, Will Bernard’s Motherbug , aswell as with Michael Ray, Gordon Stone, The Jazz Passengers and PeterApfelbaum.!

Robinson Morse (Acoustic and electric bass) is the youngest member of the trio, but has already recorded with viperHouse , Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), Orchid andthe Tala Sextet . He has also performed with Lester Bowie and Trey Anastasio.!
