For the Third Year in a row, the now Legendary Fried Dough Band returns for a one-night stand that has become a summer tradition. Paying tribute to Ween and the Talking Heads in the past, the band is not only a celebration of incredible music, but a celebration of what makes the live experience so special. True entertainers at heart, the Fried Dough Band works tirelessly to create the not-to-be-missed, and this year the dynamic posse returns with yet another jam-packed night of quirky entertainment. This summer's triple header kicks off with an adaptation of nineties lo-fi band, Pavement's cult classic album, Slanted and Enchanted (1992), performed live in its entirety. The band best known for bringing underground gems to life will hit the stage at ten o'clock on September 5th with their interpretation of Stockton, California indie rocker's, Pavement. Following the performance, The Legendary Fried Dough Band will regroup and return to the stage with a rock show from the future. For its third year, Fried Dough founder, Andrew Cariboni, has decided to include an original musical creation of his own. Following the completion of the soon to be released album, andru.09, which was arranged using solely guitars and a computer, the band has set out to create a unique stage show and experience to pay homage to the work. This is surely going to be a show not-to-be-missed. The third and final presentation will be hosted by local Toronto DJ, Rich Hope. Hope will hit the stage at midnight with a dance party that will go far into the next morning. His funky party music is enough to get anyone bouncing, regardless if they are indie rockers. Vigorous song writing and a fine tuned approach to their music have driven Chinese Food to be amoung the best of their class in the Canadian music scene. In 2007, Chinese food Released their first official independant recording effort, the self titled EP, CHINESE FOOD. The ep was highly reviewed in the Canadian music community and the band went to work on producing their first full-length album. Born out of the Toronto music scene, Trophy’s self-titled debut album is both a study in contrast and a celebration of subtlety. The album as a body of work is uplifting yet thoughtful, exploring the darker side of life but refusing to be dragged down by it. I toured across Canada with this bass and i've never had problems with it. It has a bold thick sound and it never goes out of tune. This is Yamaha's version of a Fender jazz bass. I raised the pick-ups a bit to give it more punch and I replaced the nut on the top to give it more durability. It comes with a soft AND hard shell case. This model was released in the late 90's. You won't be disappointed.
