  1. Yes I understand that ther is and will probably be some confusion with the band Chameleon out of Victoria Bc and the Chameleon Project out of Toronto.

The two bands are entirely unrelated and when I formed the Chameleon Project in 2002 I had no idea that Chameleon in Victoria even existed.

What type of music does Chameleon play?

  2. April 30th@ The Pepper Jack Cafe, Hamilton: Contact w/ The Chameleon Project

Fusing the energy of rock, dub, break-beat, and house music into improvised live and recorded performances, CONTACT is a band on the cusp of an emerging genre of music, assailling bored dance floors with irresistible beats and unforgettable hooks.

Jazz, jungle, disco, funk, dub, techno…it’s all about groove.

What keeps it engaging is improvisation. It keeps changing. It never stops. It’s at the heart of all great music…and it’s in the DNA of the members of the Chameleon Project (CP).

Should be a wicked show in the hammer, look forward to it.

“The Chameleon Project is back and this time they’re packing vinyl from T.O.”

(Toronto, ON) – After a brief winter hiatus the Chameleon Project (CP) returns with a new 12” vinyl release on Reptile Vision Records (RVR). To kick off their return to the stage the Project is booked to perform a special vinyl release event at the El Mocambo, in downtown Toronto on Friday April 15th. Doors open at 9pm with support from local breaks trio Nautilus, jam-band Jomomma and DJ Syrum spinning drum & bass, breaks and IDM in the urban Lounge. CP hits the stage at midnight
