Nice, great to see the Chris' pouring. Does this mean that the vinyl release will be a blingin' affair?
I hope so I'll do my best and weave some gold leaf into my dreads.
Big Ballin' yall. Pimipin' ain't easy.
I hope the dancefloor at the El Mocambo looks like this.

April 30th@ The Pepper Jack Cafe, Hamilton: Contact w/ The Chameleon Project
Fusing the energy of rock, dub, break-beat, and house music into improvised live and recorded performances, CONTACT is a band on the cusp of an emerging genre of music, assailling bored dance floors with irresistible beats and unforgettable hooks.
Jazz, jungle, disco, funk, dub, techno…it’s all about groove.
What keeps it engaging is improvisation. It keeps changing. It never stops. It’s at the heart of all great music…and it’s in the DNA of the members of the Chameleon Project (CP).
Should be a wicked show in the hammer, look forward to it.

Don't know about the whole caps thing, I guess I never really thought about it. Far too busy. I'll tone it down for ya'

While interesting this rumor is totally false. The drummer for the Chameleon Project has always been and is Tyrone Caissie. A kick ass jazz drummer from Toronto, who listens to a lot of jungle, and plays those breaks.

“The Chameleon Project is back and this time they’re packing vinyl from T.O.”
(Toronto, ON) – After a brief winter hiatus the Chameleon Project (CP) returns with a new 12” vinyl release on Reptile Vision Records (RVR). To kick off their return to the stage the Project is booked to perform a special vinyl release event at the El Mocambo, in downtown Toronto on Friday April 15th. Doors open at 9pm with support from local breaks trio Nautilus, jam-band Jomomma and DJ Syrum spinning drum & bass, breaks and IDM in the urban Lounge. CP hits the stage at midnight
The 12” vinyl release (RVR-008) is the first for the newly founded label, Reptile Vision Records. Reptile Vision was founded to release all past and future CP recordings, and to foster the development of live electronica, and intelligent dance music of all stripes. RVR and The Chameleon Project will also be represented at the Winter Music conference (WMC) in Miami, where the label will make it’s official US debut and begin distribution.
Then hot on the heels of the WMC the Project will return to Toronto, for it’s long awaited live performance, and hometown vinyl launch at the El Mocambo on April 15th. This will be the first in a series of shows for what is shaping up to be a busy spring/summer for the Chameleon Project. (updates & details at www.chameleonproject.com)
“The Chameleon Project is back and it is their goal and that of Reptile Vision Records to push electronic music and jazz out of stagnation and into new vital territory by any means necessary.”

Yes I understand that ther is and will probably be some confusion with the band Chameleon out of Victoria Bc and the Chameleon Project out of Toronto.
The two bands are entirely unrelated and when I formed the Chameleon Project in 2002 I had no idea that Chameleon in Victoria even existed.
What type of music does Chameleon play?
