Fusing the energy of rock, dub, break-beat, and house music into improvised live and recorded performances, CONTACT is a band on the cusp of an emerging genre of music, assailling bored dance floors with irresistible beats and unforgettable hooks.

Jazz, jungle, disco, funk, dub, techno…it’s all about a groove.

What keeps it engaging is improvisation. It keeps changing. It never stops. It’s at the heart of all great music…and it’s in the DNA of the members of the Chameleon Project (CP).

  2. Do not fuck around trying to sneak into the US to play without a work Visa. If you are caught you will be banned from ever playing in the US again. then you have to go get a pardon, just like a criminal.

To play there properly you need to join the musicians union in your area and go through them. The one bitch of it all is that after 9/11 the Americans make you wait 6 months to clear any visa. If you want it expidited you ahve to pay another ridiculously expensive fee.

FUCK, I HATE THE AMICAN GOVERMENT AND THIER SELF SERVING RIGHT-WING WAYS!!@!@!!

  3. JohnsonJohnsonImageSml_150.jpg Wow. This is a real loss. Jonnie Johnson was the originator of the rock'nroll boogie that inspires Jonny b.Goode. He hired Chuck Barry into his band.

Jonnie Johnson also toured as Ratdog's piano player in 1996 on the Further Festival tour. I went to 8 of those shows in the US, and seeing Joinnie night after night was a real treat. Ratdog would even go into blues mode and play Jonnie's classic "Tangeray" and jump blues standard "Juke".

    What a loss.
