Hey folks,
Just letting you know about two upcoming Toronto shows for Dynamo & Badnutbeats:
[color:blue]Oct 2 - Toronto Institute For The Enjoyment Of Music TIFEM
This is part of the Nuit Blanche art fest. Dynamo & Badnutbeats will perform an improvised set, backed by a number of isolated musicians, doing some sort of ambient experiment. This will be from 9pm to about 11pm. THEN, at around 1 or 2am, there will be a set of their own original tunes. Again at about 5am, the duo will get back up and do some more ambient/improv to chill you back into Sunday morning. Lights by Eric Bartnes.
[color:blue]Oct 15 - Lee's Palace
Dynamo & Badnutbeats are very excited to be warming up the stage for Halifax's Scientists Of Sound, when they bring their performance of Daft Punk's "Homework" to Toronto. Facebook Event Link A big thanks to Mr. Jay Cleary for putting on this stellar night.
Dynamo & Badnutbeats are excited to play in Toronto again after their recent US tour which saw them headline NYC's Lit Lounge, Brooklyn's Public Assembly, and a late night set at the Muddy River Jam Festival, which saw them billed alongside Future Rock, Orchard Lounge, Perpetual Groove and other electro-jam scene vets. Come check out some new tunes

Hey all,
Just letting you know about Dynamo & Badnutbeats and the show on April 2nd at the Rivoli.
The duo is celebrating the release of their official debut album, "Gonzo". The tunes are electro-acoustic, all played live...some call this "livetronica" but we just call it music.
The light show will be incredible - the duo has teamed up with a major lighting artist and YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN THE RIVOLI LIT LIKE THIS!
It's a Thursday night, so the show will start at about 10pm and will likely finish up around the midnight hour. You'll still be able to make it to work the next day, but you might wanna take the day off and woop it up large...it's gonna be far out.
Here are some related links, hope to see you there!
Peace!

Good promotion, but killer? I don't think so. Peter writes good songs, I'll give him that and his band is good, I'll give him (them) that.
But killer?
I'd suggest more like filler.
As it turns out, it's more like venue filler!
The place was packed and the show was............killer hahah!!!
Oh and yes, Mike Evin puts on a great show as does Ms. Amanda Mabro.
Thanks all for a murderous evening of tunes

All the best!

The Ashcroft Opera House is perhaps the best sounding accoustic venue in Canada!
What a great theatre this is! It's truly a gem, so if you ever have the opportunity to find yourself in Ashcroft, try to make it happen on a night when the Opera House has a show going on.

It's happening
Hope you can make it!

Hello all!
I'm booking a tour for Bent Brain out of Toronto and we're in need of a booking to fill two dates on our travels.
We're looking to play in Vancouver or the surrounding area on Friday November 4th, and somewhere in the lower interior (Nelson, Kelowna, Penticton) on Saturday November 5th.
Bent Brain is a high energy blend of folk, jazz and groove. Lyrics are conscious, political at times, and straight from the heart of a "tell it like it is" songwriter. For this tour, Bent Brain will tour as a duo, featuring Brent Bain on guitar and vocals and Ben Harrison on keyboards and percussion. (www.bentbrain.ca)
If you can help by adding us to your gig, or tipping us off to an opening or opportunity, we would be forever in your debt! Please contact me by private message or by email at ben @ buskersrecords.com
Thanks in advance for your help!

Feb 19 - BioDiesel w/Special Guests: Dynamo & Badnutbeats
in Toronto
Posted
BioDiesel is playing Toronto for the very first time! Let's show them that Toronto knows how to do it up. Come check it out and see why they're so busy on the festival circuit in the USA.
The show is Feb 19 @ The Monarch Tavern
(12 Clinton St., just south of College)
RVSP Here at the FB event page:

http://www.nufunk.ca & D&BNB presents:
Biodiesel feat. Clay Parnell of Brothers Past, and World's Fastest Drummer Johnny Rabb
http://www.biodieselband.com/
with special guests Dynamo & Badnutbeats
http://www.dynamoandbadnutbeats.com/
...
BioDiesel lies in razor thin space between band and dj, synthetic and human, man and machine. On one end you have drumming legend Johnny Rabb—pioneer of freehand technique, who has performed and given clinics the world over. Recognized as an inventor, author, educator and the original World's Fastest Drummer, Johnny is able to execute his passion for live electronic music in ways that few (if any) others are able. His high rhythmic plateau is the foundation on which BioDiesel is constructed. Add Clay Parnell who is known throughout North America as bassist for Brothers Past - one of the premiere bands blending rock and electronic music. Urb put their latest studio effort at "the top of the growing pile of genre bending releases." Performing regularly with what reads like a who's who list in the edm and livetronica world, Clay has emerged as the "go to" bassist in this rapidly expanding genre.
Taking shape from beyond the shadows, Dynamo & Badnutbeats appear faceless, glowing white atop the black-lit stage. These beings are not quite like us, but rest assured they have our delight solely in mind. As the music begins to build, this ominous introduction will give way to a sonic journey through refined soundscapes and inspired showmanship. Strengthened by a vast performance history and an eclectic collision of influences, the duo offers an experience like no other.
