  1. My only complaint about that band was the complete absence of any backing and harmony vocals. That's what the Grateful Dead was all about - 3 strong singers, and how about that Phil Lesh?

But the singer for Not Dead Yet was really good on his own, and the overall musicianship, especially the bass playing, was top notch!

  2. Thanks everyone!

I'll never tire of that dog picture.

The best present so far has been the absence of an office boardroom party with a horrible Costco cake with edible oil product icing.

My wife is probably preparing a cake for me with icing made from butter and cream. mmmmmmm....

Hopefully, big enough to support all those candles!

  3. Now this is uncanny... in the pre-sales last week, I bought two tickets for the show in Toronto, and four tickets for the show in Montreal. Here are my seat locations:

    Toronto: Section 102, row C, seats 5-6

    Montreal: Section 102, row C, Seats 7-10

  4. You're most welcome!

Well I went to Aubrey's after work today to get some meat. The staff was very friendly! I was on my bicycle so I only picked up a few items. 50% on the gift card, 50% cash.

If you thought I was magnanimous before Ollie, wait 'til you read my interview in the newspaper. A reporter from the Citizen was interviewing people on their way out of the store. He asked if I was angry about the whole coupon situation. I didn't have anything negative to say at all, he asked a few leading questions but I didn't bite. We'll see if he quotes me, it seemed to me his scathing article was already written.

  5. I've concluded that unless you move to the deep forest and eat only moss from atop the rocks, you'll be exposed to carcinogens of some kind.

The best one can do is not smoke, eat only whole and unprocessed foods, avoid plastic, and maintain a positive mental attitude.

If the thunder don't get ya, then the lightning will!

  6. I agree Ollie, the whole situation has left me with a bitter taste for Aubrey's.

But the meat is excellent, and I'll use up the rest of my coupon which I think is about $80.

I can appreciate that a combination of mismanagement and bad luck put them in this mess, and I certainly wish Aubrey's nothing but success. But I've been taking my business to Brian's on Iris in the west end, closer to home, free parking, decent prices the friendly people working there are always enthusiastic to chat about music!

  7. Good luck Matt. The prices I've seen on the resale sites (stubhub, ticketsnow) for that June 2nd show are obscene.

craigslist or kijiji may be your best bet, but you'll have to meet the seller in person, which is kind of difficult for a show over 400km away.
