  2. I'm kind of concerned about the physical damage caused to the band's male hairdressers. I'm glad that it sounds like Bobby and Phil are going to patch up those concavities.

    Zing!

Plenty to ponder in there, but any post that talks about "The Dead" playing stadiums at this point should be taken with a heavy dose of salt, as far as I'm concerned, unless by "stadiums" he meant amphitheatres.

  3. I was in the middle of a trial at the Elgin Street courthouse (almost literally a stone's throw from the war memorial) when a police officer interrupted to tell us that there had been a shooting, all on-duty officers were being deployed, and the building was on lockdown. So that was jarring.

I just got home a few minutes ago (7:45 or so) and there are multiple road closures in my neighbourhood and a police car just drove slowly past my house, going the wrong way on a one-way. I live a few blocks from 24 Sussex, which explains that.

Anyway, the impact on me had been minimal compared with first responders, etc., but what a sad and scary day in Ottawa.

  4. This band is absolutely killing it right now. Their new album If Sorrows Swim (which cracked the Billboard 200 and debuted at #1 on the bluegrass charts) is quite strong, but their live shows are what matters and they are hitting home runs nightly. With Jeff Austin having left Yonder, I feel like GSMFBG is poised to take the title as reigning kings of jamgrass (non-Salmon category).
