That was a fun set, and a great way to cap off the weekend. A friend who shall remain nameless said it was "the worst" EO show he'd ever seen. To each his own, I thought it was a ton of fun, and great to see one of our own up there.
Also, I've never been a big Wilco guy, but really enjoyed their set. Lots going on, you know, like, sonically speaking.

HOOOOOOOOOOOO!
-
Sunday extras?

For fifty bucks, you can get a personalized video message from the Hacksaw himself. Hilarious. I just got one for my buddy's wedding:

Had a great time at the Avetts and Wintersleep on Thursday. Hoping to make it back tomorrow. I agree with what everyone above has said re: Ravenlaw stage. The geographical location of the festival is great this year, but for site layout I much prefer Hog's Back.
-
I was at the Grand Point North festival in Vermont last weekend and there was a similar arrangement there: lawn chairs had to stay behind a white line, about halfway back from the main stage. It was great.

I have an extra ticket for tonight if you want it for $20
Sold! I'll PM you.
-
Also, any Thursday extras floating around?
-
So...who is going when?
-
Heading out of town for a family thingy and will have to miss this. Bummer. BradM can have my drink tickets.

There's no way ACDC, a large highly-visible corporation, potentially infringes on MLB, NFL, NHL and CFL copyright without an arrangement one way or another.
That, or their lawyers know exactly how far they can go without getting into copyrighted territory. I noticed that neither the city nor team names appear on any of the merch, and the only two symbols I see are ones that can't be copyrighted (fleur de lis and maple leaf). So all they're using are the colours / colour scheme. I would think that if there was going to be an agreement in place, both parties would want to fully capitalize and use the actual team logo.
It would be interesting to know for sure.

I notice that there is nothing "official" about these in relation to the sports teams; nowhere does it say the team name or use the logo. That makes me wonder if the sports teams are involved at all, or if AC/DC just co-opted the colour schemes. That said, they are so close to what the actual jerseys look like that, if they aren't official, they are walking a very fine line, legally speaking. The jerseys ($150) cost more than the insane ticket price ($130) (that I willingly paid). Also, appears Moncton didn't get a jersey but they don't have a pro sports team that I know of....
(I think the jerseys are tied to the venue not the city... Wonder why CFL / RedBlacks didn't get in on this. Other CFL stadiums did)

Saw him in Ottawa in 2013. I had no idea that a classic rock arena show could be that good. I was floored.

Logistically speaking, I'm assuming that each of these guys is performing separately? Will Kadlecik have anyone backing him up?

Whoa! Nice score, Velvet. Looking forward to this.

Mayer certainly has the chops, as evidenced by his recent gig with Phil recreating 5/8/77, and I'll be interested to hear this project. That said, while I totally get people preferring others over him based on different playing styles, closed-minded outright dismissals like Concert Joe's, above, are laughable for their ignorance and hypocrisy. Also, I can't see how anyone could feel burned that this is happening after Chicago. As edger pointed out, they were careful to say only that the "core four" wouldn't reunite. My sources say that they have night 2 (Nov 1) on hold depending on demand.
John Mayer is a great guitar player, however I think i'd be way more excited to see a Steve Kimock, Jimmy Herring, Warren Haynes, Jackie Green or even John Scofield as the guitar player.
I'm sure everyone there will have a grand old time, which will qualify this as a win.

Heck yeah!
-
Man, he sure did play a lot of Neil Young covers.
-
Phish might even have a teensy weeny little tiny chance to get some radio play on that one.
Don't "Touch of Grey" the Phish, bro.
-
Any thoughts on the venue?
-
Funny how Finley didn't even put up a fight, or even break stride when he walked off stage.
Whatever was going on there, Maverick a Strike is still a killer of a summer album.
-
Bummer. Hopefully temporary. I was looking forward to some more nights in the courtyard this summer.
