  1. as soon as i heard the words 'rancho relaxo' and 'farewell show' i instantly envisioned a packed-solid room with not an inch to spare and soaring temps, but it ended up being awesome. Still a lot of people but spread around the length of the room. It was sweet seeing some old friends again.

Always a pleasure to see these guys play. Highlight of the night was Chevron, where about 10 mins into the jam-outro mike starts laying down this really (dare i say the word) "crunchy" riff and the whole room was bouncing! There was no shortage of smile enducing moments last night.

  2. Wow.

11-year-old charged with driving drunk in Alabama

Fri Jul 6, 3:14 PM ET

MIAMI (Reuters) - An 11-year-old girl was charged with drunken driving after leading police on a chase at speeds of up to 100 mph that ended when she flipped the car in an Alabama beach town.

A video camera in the police car captured the look of surprise on the officer's face when he approached the wrecked car and got a look at the motorist.

The Mobile Press-Register newspaper said the patrolman saw the Chevrolet Monte Carlo speeding and flashed his lights to signal the driver to stop. Instead, the car sped faster, travelling at up to 100 mph (160 kph) before sideswiping another vehicle and flipping over in the Gulf Coast town of Orange Beach, Alabama, on Tuesday night.

The young driver, who lived nearby in Perdido Key, Florida, was treated at a hospital for scrapes and bruises and released to relatives. Police also charged her with speeding, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless endangerment.

The car belonged to a relative and police were still trying to find out where she got the alcohol. There was none in the vehicle but her blood alcohol level was over the limit for adult motorists, police told the newspaper.

  3. fuck marco how did I miss you again!? I think I caught your marvelous aura at one point but was distracted by something at the same time. Thank you for showing some love.

The recording is in the works by Mr. Aaron. We took a board feed, stereo from behind the crowd (with this handsome fellow), and stereo feed from mics hanging above the band. Should be up on the archive by mid-week. will give you a heads up about it...

  4. that show was beautiful!! so much better then anticipated (never seen wilco before). I like how we were the only city to get "either way"...it was so nice to see it played live, with the mellotron samples an' all. Fuckin' love the 2 keyboard players.

aside from that, I was not expecting them to be playing everything note-for-note, same solo's as CD...no extended improvs...

I'm not dissapointed per say...i'm into prog rock where everything is played in the same fashion (musical box for instance)...But since I wasn't expecting a note-for-not concert it felt a little odd.

Aside from that, I have nothing bad to say about the band or show. i definitely had my face melted tonight.
