  1. dont scare me with such things sorry ya didnt get the job my man Long way off dude, but I'm not going to pretend living off a musicians average wage is something I'm into. Plan B needs to progress right along side plan A y'know. Something about owning a house that makes sleeping on a floor in a far off place a little more gratifying.
  2. Why is Edger out West? Anywho.....I'm not going to get that job, I really didn't expect to. You can't convince someone to develop you if you're playing 40+ rock shows a year. I did find out what I can do now to prepare myself for the same position years down the road, so that when the tunes slow down I haven't set myself back too much. Anywho, the interview went really well and I feel rejuvenated and like I have a clearer career path. That's a good thing. Deeps
  3. For the next hour I will be in an interview for a promotion. Any good vibes given will hit me when I need them most. Lemme have it if ya got it to give. Nervous Deeps
  4. Trying to accomodate the elderly...cough cough ....coughyou ... cough.
  5. Hello Friends, Hoping that Hamilton will show us some love for this show. Please note that Hibakusha will not be participating in this show so you'll end up with a good length set from SYB and WTTS. We'll be looking to finish up earlier than 1:30 so please show early if possible. Looking forward to playing Ken's great room and seeing the Bucks again...loved 'em in London 2 weeks ago. Take care Deeps

  7. In. Oh and Hibakusha bailed so they'll be 2 quality length sets from the thunder and bucks Starting b/n 10 and 10:30 with a quick turn over. Cheers Deeps
  8. True. The last debate seemed to conclude that the jam scene is reinventing itself and none too soon. Check the rock in the link below brother. Deeps

I thought this might stir some controversy. Extremism or not I don't think the fools acting in this way are a small amount of the sunni or shi'ite population, nor do I prescribe to the thought that it's just the impoverished. My Grand-father is reporter, a father, an upstanding member of the community and the mental trauma he inflicted on his kids with his backward views on God and right and wrong could be classified as extremist. He's not blowing anyone up, but he's not far off. This is an upstanding man who has warped the minds around him in pursuit of his version of the truth. Extremism has all sorts of faces is what I'm saying. The more religious a person is the less culpable they believe they are. God tells them to do everything and well the Islamic God isn't adverse to violence so it serves that the Middle Eastern version of extremism is to blow eachother into oblivian.....lovely....fuck it God told them to do it so I guess it's justified. Twits.

Muslims Killing Muslims over being a different type of Muslim I'm sorry, but is this Iraq thing seem to anyone else irreversably fucked. It seems that they possibly needed a tyrant in power so that they could all be afraid together, unified in fear of Saddam. Fucking religion, forever and always a means to remove individual responsibility and thus promote absolute inhumane acts. Dickheads.

  14. Lauterbrunnen Switzerland. I went there with my sister it was her first time seeing a mountain. This placed made me truly understand why fairy tales came from this area of the world.
  15. I'd never pick up a cat. Dogs, on the finding their way home and being able to fend for themselves front are the inferior species. They seem to have little clue about what walking into traffic does to your lifespan and when they do get irreverseably lost I am pretty convinced that there aren't many dogs that know how to catch food. I see what you're saying but I don't think it applies when we're talking dogs. a few exceptions exist I'm sure but dogs generally just aren't good at figuring out where they are. Too domesticated or something. Deeps
  16. Did you get the Festive Special? P.S. Nice about the dog. You know it buddy....you fuckin konw it.
  17. I think Brodie should try to book a show with 1000 bands attempting to play a 1 minute set each. See Casbah and Underground listings if you're wondering. That's insanity. Deeps
  18. Surly Young Bucks final show next Thursday Nov 30th. They'll be opening up what should be a fine night of music. Here's What I'm hoping. 10:00 - Surly Young Bucks 11:30 - What the Thunder Said Links to each band can be found @ www.whatthethundersaid.ca under shows. Hope you'll join us. Deeps
  19. Hot Kid kind of rocks ... 2 piece band reverse of White Stripes - Girl on Guitar Guy on Drums saw them at the Jimmy Jazz with Zero, they was cool. Haven't ever seen Tacoma HFT but heard their stuff for the first time last week and was impressed. Lemme know what the room is like NewRider, I am always looking to rock the suburbs. Deeps
  20. Driving home from the ultra classy dinner at Swiss Chalet (they actually used to look ike chalets remeber?) anywho, we see this massive Huskie wandering up Edinburgh (busy street) we can tell this dog is olden because she was moving so slow. She looked real sad. We go around the block so we can stop on her side of the street and call her over. This thing was the size of a bear and pretty stinky, but the sweetest thing. We coaxed her into the car and took her to the animal shelter. About 2 hours later we got a call from the animal shelter saying that the dog's owners came and picked her up. Turns out the girl was 12. Dang that feels good.
