this happened to me ... sorta ...
when I was a kid, our cottage got hit by lightening. we all actually saw the floresent blue current, almost in slow motion. it came down the metal chimney, thru the metal rod my dad was using to stoke the fire, out of my dad and across the room, and right over to my walkman which was plugged into the wall. none of us was hurt, other than being in shock for a while and wondering "did that just happen"?
loudest thing I have ever heard ... and Ive been to a Tool concert! incredibly strong smell of ozone too.
the walkman was toast. they exchanged it for a new one when i went back and told them it just stopped working. i didn't mention the lightening.

i love the slip

Yup, that was a great show. 'Twould be better with a bass player.
yeah, and it would be better still if they had elvis on backing vocals and a troupe of trained seals balancing red and white plates on ten foot sticks ... but they don't. its a shame that so many people focus on what's 'missing' from this band than what's there.

I thought morals and ethics were just social constructs.
you're thinking about reality ... well, you know, around here, at least ...
fwiw, on point, i know some ethical rich people.

The crowd was the same last time in T.O. too. The frat boys, MuchMusic kids, greasy hippies and mods and rockers packed the Amphitheatre.
you must have been in a very different pit than me. hell, you seem to have been at a completely different concert.

i dont recall the gangbang. was it in the first or second set?
love squirming coil encores!

Pete's the man!!
Thanks for continuing to endure oblivious venue staff, confused ushers, clueless fans (ARE YOU TAPING, MAN?!) and the gremlims that haunt recording gear to bring us these sweet sweet recordings!!

I have the same sort of problem when using the touchpad on a laptop I have. the cursor "snaps" over to the edge of the screen sometimes. i always assumed it was either the way I am touching the pad or it's a gremlin, and I just live with it.
