wow awsome! hopefully they'll do a tour!

Also just talked to the guys in Next Best Thing and they are playing, great band if you haven't checked them out, sublime-ish vibe but they've got their own thing and they do it well.
Just saw THe Next Best Thing at a Bob Marley Birthday Tribute in Guelph...did a great job singin some Bob classics and rarities.
Good to see them added to this festival...gonna be a good weekend.

Umphrey's Mcgee and The Disco Biscuits were just added to the bill

I just read "the five you people you meet in heaven" by the guy who wrote "Tuesday's with Morrie"
I'm very spiritual and I Found this book extremely fascinating. It's one man's opinion about what happens when you die.

Psyched for the Toronto show, but I'm having trouble defining a drive to Rochester as a road trip. It's got international borders, provincial/state borders, but it's just not that far.
Vegas, that's a road trip. Along with Asheville, Boulder, Mendecino County, Vancouver, Halifax and namely, Etobicoke.
Etobicoke?
I guess its more of a car trip???

I am so there!!!
I am doing a road trip to the Rochester show and Buffalo show...Baj says hes in so we got a couple spots left. If anyone is interested in either of the shows (The Toronto show is in the middle, so you dont need to come to both Rochester and Buffal) let me know!!!
ITS GONNA BE SWEEEEEEEEeT

I won't road-tip for them, but I am REALLY excited to see them at the ElMo!
Awsome, should be a good show...and hey, if you decide you didnt get enough of em you could always mish to Buffalo with us!!! Gonna be a great weekend for sure....

Hey everyone,
So I was looking at jambase.com and I noticed the Tea Leaf Green is playing the elmo in Toronto on March 24, I went to the website to confirm and they are also playing Rochester the night before and Buffalo the night after. Its a Thursday nite in Rochester, Friday in Toronto and Saturday in Buffalo...anyone wanna come along for the ride to these amazing shows???
I am going to be at the Toronto show for sure, but if I get a couple people to split gas then I can drive to Rochester and Buffalo...let me know!

I would pay 50 bucks to see 2 bands like the slip, duo, or bnb...in a second
-
You know its funny, the more and more I think about it and read the lineup over and over the more and more I want to go to roo...that Mike Gordon project or whatever looks intriguing....can't wait till I see some additions
I'm feeling a CTMF, Wakarusa, Bonnaroo month long bender...whose with me???
-
wish I could make it, alas it was not meant to be
-
infact, the only jammy bands that i have ever truly gone crazy for are 1. PHISH 2. nero 3. moe.
do you want a prize?
-
"Bonnaroo was never about jambands. It was about good music. I expect no less from this year's edition based on the line-up. "
exactly.
1 find that most people that complain about this roo are
1)pussies.
2)don't know shit about music and think a line up that has KELLER and Galactic is incredible.
keller, galactic, and all those other hippie fest standards are crap, alright...
there is a reason that bonnaroo is the least jambandy this year...jambands are done. bonnaroo has selected the best jam scene bands (moe., mmw, soulive, phil, gordon etc) and will probably give them fantastic spots in the schedule.
i have been going since 2002, and each year has been more diversified...and each year, the most important performances of the weekend (for me at least) from bands that were not jambands...keller, particle, galactic, karl denson, WSP..after the first year and second year, all these acts started putting on very run of the mill shows...it just got OLD...
lets face it, the jam scene is not what it once was...if u want to see keller and galactic and act heady...go to any other hippie jamfest..i think there are like 10 happening every weekend of the summer, i'm sure keller is scehduled to play 300 of them..... go feel all groovy and sell your crappy hemp necklaces...you hippies make me want to vomit...5 dollars?? get outta here.
Its funny that someone with a moe.down poster as your picture could say the jam scene is done. I agree with you that moe., mmw, soulive, and phil lesh, gordon are great and will put on great shows. But to call people who don't listen to the music that was added to roo this year pussies or people that don't know anything about music is ridiculous. To say that the jam scene is done to me says "I don't know anything about music"
-
Wow, I was really really excited for today's announcement but I feel extremely let down...while there is incredible diversity and some interesting names that are new and fresh it just doesn't have the meat and potatoes that would make me shell out 190 american. Personally, for 100 dollars cheaper, I am probably going to go to Wakarusa, although I'll wait and see what kind of additions they make.
Who is going to headline? Elvis Costello, Radiohead, and Tom Petty? meh...
I am hoping they have some solid additions up there sleeves
Very Early Bonaroo ride request...

I've driven there in 12 hours non-stop...one year I started the drive on wednesday morning, got there wednesday nite and they let us in to the campgrounds. We were really far away and we were in a shady spot. Although we didnt have to wait at all to get in.
Another year we went down Wednesday evening and got there Thursday evening (including a 5 hour stop over in Louisville, my friend got arrested for speeding in Kentucky...ask me if you want details) and found the back entrance in and waited for an hour or two and got our camping spot.
Either way is recommended. There are good shows on Thursday night so getting there before then is a good idea.
