  1. I don't know why it's so easy for everyone to get their knickers in a twist around here? If this was the lineup at the next CTMF would anyone think it was lame?

Anyway, I'm planning on hitting this one up this year. Got some friends up that way who go every year, and from what I hear it is the most beautiful venue for a festival. Planning on taking the aristocrat too so we can get a crew together. Any takers?

    Well Put.

  2. I know them from some friends who spent time out west- i've never seen them but they've got some good tunes. i think i have a copy of "Sparks off the guardrail" somewhere

anyway i'm pretty sure they're not around anymore, stnmtn seems to be familiar with em though, he'd be the guy to ask

I guess "Sparks Off The Guardrail" was their first studio, they have one more called "Mule". Everything my friend has played for me has been stellar. I actually wondered if BNB might even pull some influence from these guys.

  3. .

if you think i'm a horrible person because i don't like the same jambands as you...well, you are no worse than Hitler.

Hitler? I mean, come on dude! Hitler?

It's just a harmless jab at you over the internet. Is there truly a need to bring one of your mentors into a JAMBANDS festivals' thread?

In my less than humble opinion the initial lineup announcement is pretty killer. Also half the ticket price of Bonnaroo at $120. With the gates opening on Wednesday. I probably won't go though. If I continue to post on here I won't have any friends left. So how would I get a ride?;)

  4. can some one get me up to speed, please?

just WHEN did 'the artist formerly known as...." revert back?

and while I appreciate the crazy reminicenses that Purple Rain can bring, I cannot raise this dude up to the god-like stature you're giving him** (though god knows, he could use the boost, short little bugger that he is....)

I am open to being edumacated, please

** Ms. Hux, please don't revoke my hot tub privledges! :P

Check out the Prince On SNL thread from a week or two back.

compliments of Bouche. Good example of his considerable talent in very recent form.

  5. Low Roller' date=' do you get into London often? I heard a bit on the news about how record companies were paying buskers in the subway system to play country tunes to ramp up interest in this movie, and in the genre more generally.[/quote']

Can't say whether or not this is true or not as I haven't been up to London in a while, however I've seen some pretty talented people just playing the streets around Brighton for pocket change.

Some of those buskers got talent don't they?

Currently listening to Lonesome Prison Blues. I wonder what kind of music Jerry spawned back in Oregon State Penetentiary?

  6. I don't know how drunk it'll make me' date=' but this 1968 cask-strength (52.6% alcohol/volume) Bruichladdich whisky is going down mighty smoothily (or is that mightily smooth?)...

I didn't know you were a whisky drinker Brad. I'm pretty sure I recently finished off a bottle of that Bruichladdich at a friends house. It comes in a baby-blue and sliver tin right? It actually convinced me, after many years a scotch drinker, to add a little water to my glass to 'open up' the scotch. I've always sworn against water and insisted on drinking my scotch neat.

I spent my weekend with my good friend Dalwhinnie.

That's a nice bottle of scotch. Infact if I had any audacity right now. I would figure out how to post a pic of what I'm drinkin' right now.

This is the Guinness thread right?
