dissolving my physical body at times into the music,
so that was you I saw in the Matrix...dude, ya gotta show me how you do that shit...you & Keanu are the shit
-
thanks for the help...what can ya do
plenty of fish, plenty of seas
ill just get really drunk that night
Don't know what the background is with you and this girl and why you're doing the MSN thing but if there is anything developing between the two of you, getting shitfaced on Friday night will put an end to any chance of something happening...
Yep, BF = Boyfriend but if there's no ring on the finger then what's to stop you from being polite and showing interest in her but in a respectful way...
...or go get shitfaced...that's original... ...kids today with their MSN -chatty-thingy...

maybe that copied post should just go away? I don't like the idea of rumour spreading and trashing people with no evidence.
that post is highly suspect and unless anyone here thinks there's any value to it....I think it should be deleted.
What...and have Jambands ending up like a site that is sugar-sickening-sweet such as "My Place"???...that site is just way too creepy-nice...
A little bit of the "Dark Side" never hurts...just ask Luke...

If you're into architecture and have the time, the river tour is a great one...Chicago has their shit together when it comes to urban development.

NICE LOOKIN' FOLKS!!!
But someone should really kick Punk in the ass...after all, he extended the invitation for everyone to come and visit and then he forgets to get the weather looked after??? Talk about dropping the ball...
Too bad about the rain and other crapola that shat on the last day but I'm sure the Punk's house was a messy pot of skank-chowder...wish I could've been there for that one!!!
Safe travels for all those heading off the island...don't fall off the bridge!!!

That's just poor planning on the promoter and sounds like it might have been a last minute addition to Les's tour...A FRIDAY NIGHT SHOW STARTING AT 6:30 AND ENDING AT 9:00??? Pretty lame...G. Love recently RAWKED the Phoenix and it went late, 1:00/1:30-ish...
Phoenix is a great venue though...two thumbs down for the promoter on this one...
-
Looking forward to this one...definitely looks interesting...
How was the Sound Design?...or did it play like live action or a blend?...

Basher, as I'm sure you know, Visualization is everything...having that clear & focussed vision in place, that goal firmly in place makes so much achievable...
As you're already planning the celebration party at The Church with .moe & Umphrey's, I'd say you have everything in sight...

What was the set list?
Aloha,
Brad
They played a song, followed by another song, talked to the crowd, played another song, talked to the crowd, played another song and then they played some more songs followed by two encore songs...
Most of the tunes were from the new CD "Faith Cola"...all originals as it is for The HDTV music series "Beautiful Noise"...
Setlist was something like this....
Faith Cola
Years & Years of Espionage Under His Belt
Big Al
Tongue
Four Shows Nightly
Tumblweed Tea
Va Va Va Voom
Rigged Noose
Encore: Perry Garcia
I think that's how it went down...not a long show as there were cameras everywhere but nice to be able to groove and sip some suds with all of that going on...really had an imtimate family feel to it as most were friends and Orbiters who came out to give their support...Great to see the Jamband crew out and hear about Basher's upcoming Las Vegas escape...so cool Basher...the first 15 hours should make for some great memories...

As you can all see from Jaydawg's pics, it was quite an amazing setting for last night's Sister's show...nice when things like this happen...literally came together in two days and as I'm typing this the boys are leavin' on a jet plane for the west coast to keep jammin' with Cyro and the Grande Mothers...
Kevin gave it his all as he always does...strings and blood were flyin' and Kim the Powder Girl kept the sweat under control...ahhh, Kim the Powder Girl...
Ouch, my head...cheap Steam Whistle can do that...

Okey Dokey FBTS...that's great...drop the Punk a line and it'll be waiting for you...
Enjoy the Fest!!!

Okay, to clarify once again as it is summer and folks have put their reading skills away for the festival months ...
THIS IS A FREE CONCERT - NO TICKETS REQUIRED
If you would like to be part of the filming you MUST be there between 7 and 7:30pm
...and now an update from The Sisters Euclid...
Hi folks,Sisters Euclid
Free concert tonight.
The Church on Berkley
315 Queen Street East
Show starts at 8 p.m.
We just interrupted our western Festival Tour to come back to Toronto and tape a one-hour HDTV special at the Church on Berkeley. That's 315 Queen St. East, just east of Parliament.
It's a one and a half hour concert, filmed in front of a live audience. It's free, but you have to be there between 7 and 7:30 tonight. Yes, Thursday night. The taping starts at 8 o'clock. All you
have to do is show up and come on in. We're doing whatever we can to try to get people in the audience. The audience will be filmed, so by all means wear your Easter bonnets.
The Director, Daniel Berman is an amazing director and a great friend. Somehow he managed to get us on a Canadian Music Series with the likes of Ron Sexsmith, Sarah Harmer and the
Cowboy Junkies! How did he do that? I can't for the life of me, imagine, but it's happening and we're going with it. Come down and be a part of the action.
We have to fly back at 7:30 in the morning to to do a couple of shows at the Vancouver Folk Festival, one of which is sharing the stage with the original Mothers of Invention. Needless to
say, we're having a blast. We met the Mothers on stage in Winnipeg and the two bands played together. They had us booked as The Sisters Meet the Mothers. I can't tell you what a buzz it
was to play Frank Zappa's 'King Kong' and look over and see Don Preston, Napoleon Murphy Brock and Roy Estrada smiling back at you! It was goose bumps all the way. We traded tunes
and sat in with each other and had a blast.
We hope some of you can come down and enjoy this experience with us. Take care and have fun out there, whatever it is you're up to. - Sisters Euclid

Ha...come to think of it this was the show that busted my virgin-taper cherry...and what a show it was...light show was an added over-the-top bonus...cool to know that I'd get to meet some of the nice folk like Ms. Hux a few years later...
Oh, that's right, this IS about the Sisters Euclid...update...they've been sharing the bill with the original Mothers out west and Gary has been saying it's been a crazy time...I'm sure some of that zaniness will carry through tomorrow night...
-
No worries Basher...seriously, there are so many spots to have a great view...one of my favourite shows was one that BNB put on waaaaay back in 2001 just before their hiatus...it was awesome...this venue rocks & the fact that it's a free show...man, people are gonna be grinnin' from ear to ear...Doug McClement of Livewire Remote Sound is supplying and doing the FOH for the taping so the sound should be killer...
-
My deepest sympathies for you Shain as I have been where you are...
Be well...
-
I feel sick. Why isn't this happening next week while we're in Toronto?
You guys are SOOOOOOOOO lucky!
Well, last I spoke with Kevin he was pissed that he didn't get a warm hug&rub from your gal so he specifically booked this gig just ahead of your trip to T-Dot...
-
Jazz 91.1 has it's moments but it's very much like Q107...same stuff over and over again...there are incredible artists that just don't get recognized by the Jazzers who cook up the playlist for the station which comes as no surprise as so many "jazzers" have a "be all & end all" attitude...
Toronto's clubs are dying because the folks that come out to the clubs to take in jazz either will drink water or nurse a single cocktail all evening and the club owners cannot afford to pay the artists and their operating costs...simple as that...
Thanks gawd for Alex Lifeson & Tim Knotter who own and run The Orbit Room and provide such great live acts all week long at more than reasonable prices...
-
Hey there c-o-p. Can you save me a sweet seat?
There's not a bad seat in the house and the view from the upstairs balcony that surrounds the whole floor is incredible...
Basher, if you intend to be "sitting" I'll be the first to deliver a swift kick to your arse and trash-bash your get-rich-quick-scheming ass all over this site...
C'mon folks...free show with possibilities of free booze and our chance to show others that T-Dot does have folk that live to get their groove on...I plan to be shakin' that thang from the get go...

Ahhh, considering it's being filmed & recorded, that would be a definite no go on recording as it pretty much standard for these kind of events...I'll look into getting a board mix but highly doubt that'll be released before it airs...
Dude, leave the recording crap at home and come out and shake it...
-
Ummm, that would be "The Church" on Berkley & Queen St. East...
Bring your friends KC!!!

I have always loved Tom Petty...he has his own style, crafts a pretty damn good tune and just does his own damn thing...
Looking forward to this one...hey Punk, get yer ass up here for this!!!
