  1. mill street coffee porter baby

I've been thinking about trying that one' date=' but I'm staying away from the darker (stout-end-of-the-scale) beers; pale ales are about as heavy as I want to get these days. (Their Tankhouse ale is good, but I'd love to see them make a slightly lighter IPA.)

    Aloha,

    Brad[/quote']

Try the Mill St. Stock ale..totally tasty. Here's how they describe it:

A golden export-style ale made from only malt and hops, no fillers or adjuncts. A brilliant golden colour gives a “sparkling†appearance as the gas escapes from the glass. The natural sweetness of the malt is perfectly balanced by the bitterness derived from the hops. This beer represents the way blonde ales were made 100 years ago.

  2. Ya, it does give fodder for people like us to banter about in places like this, and you're right, he's totally not a team player. His life drama superceeds his team trying (and failing) to win ball games. I'm trying to think of a time recently when he's given a compliment to a great night from a pitcher or another batter on the team. Coming up empty.

  3. plus, I have no sympathy for bonds because he's such an insufferable jerk. Remember the game when a foul ball was hit to left feild? It bounced off the wall and came within 20 feet of bonds, and he just stood there till the ball boy ran out onto the field to get it? what a dick.

  4. An interesting sidenote...I was once asked outside a fast food restaraunt for some money to help out a dude who wanted some food from said restaraunt, so I went in and got the guy a meal. when I gave it to him, he threw it on the ground and cursed me out. I agree with Schwa, the money goes to booze. It just bugs me when they lie to ya, saying it's for food. Just say you want to get loaded, then people can make the choice as to whether they want to help you out with that.

  6. all this is well and good for a soloist but man when i bring my bongo drum to a concert be prepared for some awesome rhythms rippling outward from me. i've had plenty of people tell me that my grooves have added so much to their concert experience to the point where i've banged away so loud that i can't even hear the band anymore

    i can't hold back, i just can't

I think the difference there is that you are not in the mix. You are not coming throught the monitors for the rest of the band to hear and adapt to. If the band can't hear you the only people you are affecting are the people around you, and if they didn't like it, surely they would tell you to stop(?)
