And I know there is a show in Toronto at The Horseshoe (not 100% sure on the venue, but I believe it is The 'Shoe) and I think a show in MTL scheduled and Ottawa too.

Hot Italian Sandwiches is a hidden gem in London - near The Beef Barron strip club if any of you have ever been there. HIS is like California Sandwiches but arguably better - bigger portions, cheaper price
Bungalow has really awesome burgers, similar to Relish but better
P Za Pie is really great italian wood oven pizza
Those are my 3 favourite joints in London

My review of The Antlers' Tuesday night show at The Mod Club. http://www.blogto.com/music/2011/06/the_antlers_tear_it_up_at_the_mod_club/
Title was supposed to be "The Antlers burst apart the Mod Club". Don't you just love editors?

That would be killer, but I asked Brad if there's any chance of a Toronto Slip show and he laughed and basically said it doesn't make sense at this point in time. More likely that they'd turn into Barr Brothers shows.

Also, I was informed by a pretty reliable source that Surprise Me Mr. Davis is working hard on getting Nathan over the border, they're planning a Canadian run through Toronto/MTL/Ottawa at the end of August. They'd play the Horseshoe in Toronto if all goes as planned.

So, supposedly Pete Shapiro made The Slip an offer they couldn't refuse, as the trio is playing BB on July 14.

brad called the loot thing the 'peanut-joe'...weird.
and If You Leave Me is the upbeat tropical one with the call and response between brad and sarah. it's not on an album...yet...

Sorry I didn't post the setlist last night, I left my computer at work. I'll have a full detailed review with pictures up tomorrow that I'll link to. Show was 1.5 hours, had some real dense jams (deacon's, gtdbhh, lijckfc). The venue was fairly packed, probably 150 people-ish.
Members of Broken Social Scene (kevin drew, emily haines, etc) and members of The Stills were in attendance. Crowd was great during most of the set, a bit talkative towards the end. Some girl screamed "it's a ballad and I'd like to hear it" during Cloud when people were talking fairly loudly. No encore.
Also, Brad came without a pick and had to borrow mine for the whole night haha. Needless to say, I didn't get it back, but I was happy to donate it to such a good cause.

The Barr Brothers are joined by Marie-Pierre Arthur on vocals for some unique takes on a few songs. Really excellent videos, music and interviews.

I'm looking for a song (not sure which) that has a similar vibe/funk to the Broken Bells track "The Ghost Inside", preferably by a Canadian band/artist. Anyone have any ideas?

Massey is typically on schedule, if doors are 8 and there is no opener, i bet Paul will be on at 8:30 latest.

paul simon walked into my doctor's office yesterday. looked like he was in rough shape and i overheard that he's on some very heavy antibiotics. couldn't believe how tiny he was in person.
