Brian Jonestown Massacre.....great albums.....live, hmmmmmm....after he dropped the N bomb in september at the show we were at - going to see him live is not in our plans again. Definetly entertaining to be there though....

you'll love it!!! we live in whitehorse, and were only supposed to come up here for 6 months. plus i have heard just as good of things about yellowknife - great festival in the summer, i think it is called folk on the rocks.

if you are into outdoorsy stuff, the north is a wonederful place to be. the spring time and summer are so energizing with all the light!!

just be sure to buy plenty of socks and underware before you go. every time we fly out of whitehorse, that is the main thing i stock up on!!!

i remember Gut Bucket....well sort of remember, little hazy to say the least. i loved their shows!

yes, we were at the show!

we flew to vancouver for this show with the expectation that Anton might not even make it onto the stage given his past history...the 10 or so songs we did get to hear sounded AMAZING! unfortunately it was cut a little short due to the bottle incident....

It was a great show when he wasn't talking or sneaking off stage to do watever it is rock stars do. The ending of the show was quite dramatic...check it out....

jim bryson is an amazing artist....joined with the weakerthans this makes for an amazing show!!!

he used to be in the band "punchbuggy" for those of us old enough to sort of remember the early - mid 90's!

it does seem (in hindsight over the weekend), that the vets took the cat based mainly on some of my mom's behaviours, which are not her fault...

thanks for providing me with some hope here....it's been a glum past few days...

samson is currently in mount forest.

he did live with a dog before, 2 different dogs actually and he defended himself quite well....he would just dissapear if he wasn't in the mood to deal with the dog.

i feel silly posting this here, but i am desperate at this point.

my mother (who has alzheimers) recently had her cat taken away from her as the vets thought she was no longer capable of taking care of the cat.

my mom lives in ontario and i live in the yukon, making it difficult for me to find a new home for the cat..whose name is Samson. is there anyone who would like a 7 year old orange cat?? he is very good, and requires one pill a day which i can explain in detail if someone is interested. i would love to take this cat, but unfortunately my partner is horribly allergic.

I would do just about anything to see these guys again.

They played DAWSON CITY music festival up here a couple years ago, and blew my socks off! wait a minute,,,,,,,i was already wearing sandals............. anyway....

they are truly amazing, on my top five list for sure!!!!

OH ALBERTA....one of the best tunes EVER!!

I have a campsite if anyone is interested in taking it over.

I booked it last year while I was there - but now we are going to be building our house, so flying from the Yukon back to Ontraio for a week this summer probably won't be happening. If you think you might want it, let me know.

yes, we definetly felt it here in Whitehorse.

but apparently no damage....but it only happened an hour ago, so people out in the boonnies may still have something to report.

our school was trembling pretty good.... the blinds on my classroom window were clanging pretty good against the glass.
