canner...the device (pot) that you are supposed to sterilize the jars in. also...sometimes used at the end of the jam making process to seal the jars. .....i think anyway

ok, so it's off topic...but jam...jambands....sort of close.

has anyone here made jam WITHOUT using a canner??

i was about to make some jam with berries i picked this fall, but then i read all these websites that says how bad it is to do it without using a canner....apparently you can kill people!! any advice for this?? i really don't want to kill anyone this christmas!

ahhh!!! so i wasn't going crazy thinking of something that i THOUGHT existed at one point!!

ok...it's been a while since i have looked for it, but is there still a calendar on this site that displays up coming shows to be held in a specific area??

i am heading back to the toronto area for 8 days over christmas, and i am wondering if there are any good gigs going on that i should mark on my calendar??

it has been a long time since i have been in this neck of the woods as i am currently in the GTA (home from the yukon) for family reasons. i am just wondering where i would find a board where all the shows are these days?? i remember that the old site had a place where who could check for shows via location, venue etc....i am just looking for ways to keep me busy through the rest of the summer. hope everyone is well~

Dawson City Music Fest is July 22-24, good times! can't wait!

come on up to the yukon everyone - at that time in the year, the sun BARELY sets!

WHITEHORSE is a great place to be because everyone is so laid back, there is so much adventure to partake in, lots of mountains, close to alaska, AMAZING people, and it is acceptable to show up to work dirty because you live in a cabin with no power or running water!

LOTS of culture and a great place to pay off student loans.

unfortunately people rarely come to visit.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention the Dawson City Music Festival!
