  1. I LOVE Roy but I think Dryden could easily lay claim as the best goalie ever. Roy played 20 years - 4 Stanley Cups - 3 Vezinas Games 1,029 Wins 551 Loses 315 Ties 131 Shut outs 66 G A Average 2.54 Dryden played 8 years - 6 Stanley Cups - 5 Vezinas Games 397 Wins 258 Loses 57 Ties 74 Shut outs 46 G A Average 2.23 I love them both and the great tradition of Habs goaltending continues with Huet.
  2. There were some good old school fights at the Belleville / Kingston game last night. By the time it was all over Kingston had 4 guys on the ice and two on their bench. There were 3 fights on the ice at one time. The Fronts got 3 insigator penalties at one time.
  3. [color:red]Colbert wins the bet SAGINAW, Mich. (CP) -- Ryan O'Marra scored twice, including the winner at 1:44 in the third period, as the Saginaw Spirit squeaked past the Oshawa Generals 5-4 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday. Late-night funnyman Stephen Colbert had a lot riding on Friday night's Ontario Hockey League game between the Saginaw Spirit and the Oshawa Generals. The host of the satirical news program "The Colbert Report" (pronounced coal-BEAR RAY-pore), has thrown his support behind the Spirit in recent months after learning that the Michigan team had named its mascot Steagle Colbeagle the Eagle, as a tribute to him. Colbert has since done some trash-talking about other OHL teams, particularly the Oshawa Generals. After the Generals recently beat the Spirit on home turf, the Oshawa team held its annual teddy bear toss for charity. Colbert took mock offence and aired footage of the stunt, calling it "an obvious attempt to taunt me." In retaliation, he encouraged Saginaw fans to throw General Motors annual earnings reports on the ice during Friday's game against the Oshawa Generals in Michigan. He even posted a downloadable link to the financial reports on his website. That prompted Oshawa Mayor John Gray to issue a challenge to Colbert on a local radio station. Gray said if the Oshawa Generals win the game, Colbert must wear a Generals jersey for an entire show. However, if the Spirit wins, Gray must declare Colbert's birthday "Stephen Colbert Day" in Oshawa. Colbert accepted the challenge on his show Thursday night, but said he wants his day to be declared on Gray's birthday, March 20. "Listen up Gray, I'm not afraid of you," said Colbert. Ryan McDonough, Ryan Berard and Tomas Zaborsky added a goal apiece for the Spirit (28-17-0-2). John Tavares had two goals for Oshawa (23-18-1-4), while Cal Clutterbuck and Brett Parnham both had one. Marc-Andre Perron made 23 saves for the win, while Loic Lacasse stopped 29 shots at the other end.
  4. The Leafs hope to get out West more often to escape the Toronto media. They are tired of explaining why they are so bad
  5. I predict Manning chokes
  6. I guess I walked into that one
  7. Phish did not make me gay. However 14 pitchers does cloud my judgement.
  8. Yes it should. If it didn't you wouldn't be the lovable guy you are.
  9. scored 76 points in the first half tonight.
  10. Yes it was. It was at AJ's and our table went through 40 pitchers. There was only 5 of us. There was some sort of contest, you got ballotts for every pitcher you ordered. That was also the year we broguht couches into AJ's through the back door and set ourselves up a nice compfy spot on the dance floor. Booche likes pitchers too
  11. I once drank 14 pitchers during a Super Bowl. I believe it was Atl and Den. I was drunk.
  12. It has been awhile. I'm not sure who would be available and at what price but I would like to see it too. However they have had a good first half ( even with the recent problems ) and I wouldnt want to mess too much. Hey Booche, can you score?
  13. Donald Sutherland? looks kinda like he should be Chris Robinson's dad Later . . . Kanada Kev =8) They actually tried to get Donaled to play Jacks dad and he wanted the role but he already had a prior engagement.
  14. My early prediction... Chicago 3 Indy 0
  15. [color:red]Post all your Super Bowl crap here...
  16. What if I didn't like any teams (or an entire sport) when I was 18? Is it morally wrong to now start liking a sport and choose a team as my favourite? Aloha' date=' Brad[/quote'] No but be careful. If you go with the obvious and pick the defending champion you may face ridicule. Prepare to defend your selection.
  17. Well fuck me I'm a Whalers fan and we just won the cup!! Congratulations!!!
  18. I think it is morally wrong to switch teams past the age of 18. It's OK to like a team when you move to a different city (they can be your second favorite team) but you must never turn your back on your first true love. There are a few of exceptions to this rule. 1. They are a Canadian franchise that moves to the US. 2. A family member is drafted by said team. 3. A member of the organization inflicts bodily harm to you or an immediate member of your family.
  19. I feel less of a man because of it
  20. I hate football right now. Damn Dolphins are ruining it for me. It could also be that I haven't had a drink since Boxing Day. Damn Sobriety is making me look at the world differently.
