  1. Actually...if you're wanting to get a group together there was talk of a fun/cheap ($3.50 beers) place down near byrds on the Sunday of labour day. We did a little tourney in June, got about 20 folks out. Just played 9 and got pretty drunk. I think Floyd drank a 26er over the first 6 holes!

I'd drive out that way though - or meet half way? Anything inbetween Milton/Guelph?

Big Rock next weekend - so the weekend after that is what I'm eying up. (for that matter, I'm actually going to bring the clubs to Big Rock and spend the Saturday playing 18 down there - golf is really cheap down that way, if you're into it).

  2. I rent a lot - never seen them charge for anything like that. I think its probably bs too.

If you didn't notice it - you didn't do it. You'd notice something like that.

I'd get Discount involved since they fucked you around the first place and got you there. Don't pay.

I'd ask for the original contract. Ask for the previous contract. Check the milage like they said. Ask for estimates (ask for 2 seperate estimates).

Basically, if it was me, I'd not pay until I was pretty sure that they'd put in well over $600 of time an energy.

On the other hand - if it was me who did the damage - and if I didn't want to put through an insurance claim - I am just try and negotiate with cash.

Did you use a credit card? And did the credit card cover that type of damage? When you put claims in with your credit card does that show up on your insurance? You might be able to get them involved.

  3. It's going to be a great show with now with only TEA LEAF GREEN, it's a shame about Cornmeal's vehicle troubles, they'll be back soon to make up the date. Thanks for everyone for understanding and we hope you can come out just for Tea Leaf Green who will now be ripping up two sets. As we are rebuilding Toronto's jamband scene we would appreciate you all to come down and support this show.

I have to give you guys props for this part. I woke up the other day and realized I've been acting old.

Was a good time and a nice venue - sound could have been crisper.

  4. Glad to hear it rocked. Russo is the man - such a different experience hearing these guys play with a drummer that keeps the tempo moving forward nice and quick.... (no disrespect to those other two old fellows that I love, but Russo is quick.)

  5. Musically the band is awesome. There were more spots last night where you think "why is [insert phil or bobby here] singing?" as compared to Herkimer.

Basically I'm complaining about the Help Slip Frank. The Slipknot! is so tight with these guys. But Phil, my friend....

  6. Herkimer, NY?

I stayed in the most fleabag of all fleabag motels there on the way to Mountain Jam three weeks ago....

$39 hotel rooms are not worth the cash in pocket.

    Glen Ridge Motel?

All there are in Herkimer is fleabag motels.... one decent place thats long since booked....

  7. I'm in T.O. and have friends coming up for a beer fest Saturday. I've told them to plan to come hours early.

Also, if you're trying to drive downtown, you may have problems parking. All the spots I usually park near Nathan Philips, albeit southwest of there, are closing all weekend starting tonight at 11pm.

The other thing to keep in mind, almost anywhere I've been downtown for the past few days, if I do a 360 degree turn I count between 10-20 cops. No joke. My concern is that they're all going to get bored and I'm going to get a speeding ticket for going 43 in a 40, or a ticket for swearing in public or something stupid. Bored cops scare me.

So to make a long story short, unless you're a huge Herbie fan, I honestly wouldn't bother. But I'm old and lazy too.

  8. The Jam On Channel will be devoting a whole week to celebrating Widespread Panic with Widespread Week!
