FYI if anyone is interested in going tomorrow, there were tons of extras and they were being given away. People were kicking down tix rather than spare change to the panhandlers hanging out which was pretty funny for sure. Ended up getting $20 each for the 2 that I had and sold another for tomorrow after the show for $20 as well. Cheap to free show again tomorrow night I would think.

Some of these are better than others but he sure churned out a ton of pieces, you have to give him credit for quantity over quality. Reminds me of something you would see in a restaurant or record shop on consignment. Enjoy!

Howlin' Rain hasn't been mentioned yet, they are definitely worth checking out. Magnolia Electric Co., Okkervil River also for sure. The Acorn and Whispertown 2000 possibly as well if you like the more folkie stuff. Super solid lineup for sure.

How is the subway gig going, do you get sick of eating sandwiches all the time or what? Hope you get some pizza or a burger in every once and awhile, you know they say that variety is the spice of life! Also, try and stay away from the cookies, they are very delicious but don't overdo it.

I'll juxtapose Basher's ordeal with my Darien scoreage. Hit up the box office when I got to the show and picked up a 16th row dead center seat. I guess they released whatever tix friends and family didn't take and there were a few available. Lost out on the tix I had to sell at $20ea but it was well worth it.

Not the most off the hook show of all time but still quite good all the same. Def some flubs and so forth but they played through them well. Dinner & A Movie and My Friend were great to see and Rift and The Horse>Silent were a treat as well. I would say that it was pretty up and down, some of it was great and some of it was meh(Caspian). All in all fairly solid song selection and well executed overall. They could have pushed it a bit harder but it was still a lot of fun and clearly they were having a lot of fun playing as well. Page could have been a bit hotter in the mix, they seem to be pushing Trey above everyone else which is a bit annoying.

Nice to have the boys back...

Got a LCF Row E, seat 25 looking for a first or 2nd row center balcony seat. If anyone gets one on Friends First that they are willing to trade or sell please let me know. I would like to get a nice recording from the balcony but am no longer a friend of massey hall as there have not been enough shows to justify it.

Sounds to me like you should be taking the rest of the day off my friend. Can't get anything sorted, everyone else is already into the booze, just doesn't seem fair. Maybe if you take the initiative the rest of the province will figure out that it's fun and follow suit...

Looks like a sweet ass show, listened to a bit of the stream during the end of the 1st set and it sounded pretty on point. Tonight should be killer as well. The audio only stream on www.hoodstream.com last night sounded great, seems like they were using a feed from the tapers section. Probably will have the same deal running tonight.
