  1. Anyone headed down to Austin City Limits next week? I'm heading down for Thurs Sept 13th > Monday Sept 17th.

I went last year and it was one of the best run festivals I've ever been to.

Tons of amazing great bands this year too:

    http://www.aclfest.com/lineup.aspx

Will report back on how it goes! Really pumped for Wilco, Bjork, Dylan, MMJ, White Stripes, Arcade Fire, Spoon, Devotchka, Peter Bjorn & John, Rosehill Drive, etc. etc. etc.

  2. I'll be there on Sunday!

My friends 'Earl Greyhound' from NYC are starting the day off on the main stage on Sunday -- be sure & try and catch 'em if you can.

I'm also pumped to see on that day: Tokyo Police Club; Stars; Blonde Redhead; Museum Pieces; CONSTANTINES!!! (woo hoo - they've just been added last minute); Metric; Explosions in the Sky; The Killers & The Smashing Pumpkins....

there are a ton of other bands too but these are the tops on my list. Gonna be a full day!!!

Also - Kill the Lights are playing the Drake later on that night too.

  3. I haven't seen this posted yet by 'ersh... but today @ lunchtime come down to

*oh and despite the fact that the link above lists that there will be noodles served, Mike Filipowitsch will NOT be in attendance... ;)

  4. Just added the bass laser Jeremy little to join in the fun!

This all star band now includes:

    Sweet Serena Jean (Hiway Freeker)

    Michael Filipowitsch (Town Drunk)

    Gavin Maguire (Pete Elkas, BNB)

    Scott Farmer (Russian Futurists, BNB)

Jeremy Little (Andrew Rodriguez, Sean MacDonald Band, BNB)

Sure to be a great night of music --- the back porch rehearsals have been sounding like a dream.

    :D

  5. From the Winnipeg Sun:

7-Eleven, meanwhile, is celebrating its 80th birthday today (July 11 is, of course, 7/11). To mark the anniversary, 1,000 free 7.11-ounce Slurpees are being given away at each 7-Eleven store in Canada, including 40 in Winnipeg.

    Enjoy!
