  1. This Saturday's show will no doubt be an awesome one. I'd recommend checking it out if you can... I had the pleasure of watching the boys rock New York City on Canada Day for a live-to-air Sirius Radio broadcast. They put on an excellent show for the crowd... and represented Canada very well in the ole US of A.

Here are a few pics from the night!

  2. Awesome, Prost!

Great story... my friends in Matt Mays & El Torpedo got to sit in @ a Ramble. My buddy Tim the drummer said that looking over and playing drums with Levon sitting & playing next to him was an unreal experience. Levon really dug those boys.

Good times! I really want to make it to one of those someday soon. Hopefully this summer!

  4. Those are all great pics -- it was sooooo dark in there. I liked the ambiance though... I liked the stage set-up and backlighting.

I thought the Toronto show was faaaantastic! Man oh man does he have pipes. And his backing band was incredible.

  5. from Arts & Crafts

Visit Kevin Drew's page at www.arts-crafts.ca/kevindrew to download "Tbtf," a new song from the album.

On September 18, Arts & Crafts will release the first in a series of "Broken Social Scene Presents" albums. Spirit If... by Kevin Drew, unfolds like an emotional comic book. Drew's songwriting addresses all his favourite topics: fucking, fighting, fearing and hope.

BSS co-founder Brendan Canning will also release a solo album, due in early 2008. Drew and Canning decided to make records as solo projects, drawing in the social scene community to play key supporting roles, in a return to the creative process that was the initial spark for BSS.

  6. VIETNAM rock! check them out if you can. they are awesome guys -- i've hung out with them and while they weren't as "out there" as they sound like they were in that show review ... they definitely knew how to enjoy themselves.

    :)

amazing performers when i saw 'em. maybe that review was an "off" (or really "ON" ...something) night for them. ;)

here's an awesome clip of them playing live:

  7. Wow! I can't believe the google street view feature... it's almost kinda freaky that you can do that... wonder how long til that's rolled out across N.A.

I checked out the house in the fall... some pics:

We didn't go in but it was cool to meet people who were walking down the street looking for it too (quite easy to spot those folks) ;)

  8. my favourite dessert!

hard to find in this city... but Loblaws (President's choice) makes a pretty good one (in my opinion) and you can keep it in the freezer to make it last a while.

call the Loblaws near you first to find if they have it in stock... my mom had a tough time finding it for my birthday this year.

    packaging looks like this...
