  1. If you're using cranberry juice (for any of its palliative properties), make sure it's pure cranberry juice (I buy it at the health food store). The cranberry cocktails & juices that they sell at the supermarket are generally full of extra sugars and stuff which negate the positive effects of the cranberry juice.

  2. As some of you know, one of Basher's nicknames is "Poopypants" or "Poop" for short.

No, he's never pooped his pants as an adult (that I know of), it's just something I started calling him and it just seemed to fit--so it stuck!

Yesterday, he sent a text message to our friend Gill that said:

"Hey Gill! Poopypants here..just wondering if you guys got your Gorge tix?"

Last night, while we were at the Raptors game, he received this response:

"Well, Poopypants, you got the wrong number.."

    I can't stop laughing.

  3. I possibly have this guy to thank more than anyone cuz due to work restrictions i can't use the interwebs and struck out miserably on the phone....and i got the Basher extras!!!

    love ya buddy!

Yeah, actually, you should also be thanking me on this one, Schwa...don't think I didn't have veto power on who ended up with those tix. ;)

  4. Bait seized at Customs

Three Americans have been fined for bringing live bait into Ontario through the Canada Customs Entry station on Sand Point Lake in the Rainy River District.

72-year-old William Timpe was fined 880-dollars for bringing 5-pounds of leeches for use as bait on July 11th of last year.

48-year-old Brenda Lea Goneau and 66-year-old Robert James Langtry were both fined 615 dollars for bringing leeches and minnows into the province as well.

In all cases, the live bait was seized and later turned over to a conservation officer.

  5. When I used to live at Bloor/Spadina I went there a lot..usually on Tuesdays (half-price fajitas night--at least it was back then!).

I know people call it Sneaky "Disease", but I've always enjoyed their food.
